Chapter 19 Entangled emotions

George’s POV…

I am so mad after learning that Vivian is with a man that I drive straight to the bar, my thoughts swirling within me like a tempestuous storm.

My friend was waiting for me. His eyes convey both concern and curiosity. Without uttering a word, he gestures towards a nearby table where Vivian and the man in question are engrossed in conversation, oblivious to my arrival.

My jaw clenches, my fists involuntarily tightening at my sides as I take in the sight before me.

The man wears a smug expression, his grin stretching from ear to ear, fueling the flames of my anger. Every fiber of my being longs to lash out, confront him, and unleash my frustrations upon him. But a deeper understanding holds me back.

I know from the beginning that Vivian has a crush on someone and that she has never been able to express her feelings to that man. I am acutely aware that this man may be the elusive figure who has occupied her heart and mind—the one she yearned for.
