Chapter 18 New Friendship

Vivian’s POV…

As the bus resumes its journey, my mind remains consumed by thoughts of George and Megan, their relationship, and the stark contrast with my own experiences.

Lost in the labyrinth of my emotions, I scarcely notice the passing landscape outside the bus window. The raindrops on the glass create a blurry veil, mirroring the haze of my thoughts and the tears that threaten to surface.

The bus traverses the city streets with a rhythmic motion, its engine humming softly in the background. The sounds of honking horns and distant sirens blend into a symphony of urban life. Yet, these external stimuli fail to capture my attention, overshadowed by the tumultuous storm raging within me.

Lost in my reverie, I am oblivious to the fellow passengers around me, each engaged in their own private worlds. Their hushed conversations, the rustle of newspapers, and the occasional jolt as the bus navigates turns become distant echoes in the backdrop of my thoughts.
