Chapter 66 JUST A NEIGHBOR!

---

LIORA'S POV

“I swear to God, I’m 'this' close to breaking up with Stanley,” Becky declared dramatically as she strode into my exhibition room, her heels clicking on the polished floor. She dropped her side bag onto the nearest couch with a huff, looking every bit the picture of frustration.

I glanced up from the design I was sketching, intrigued by the obvious fury on her face. "What did he do this time?"

Becky shot me a glare as if the question alone annoyed her.

"So, I got a contract to decorate this huge wedding hall for the weekend, right? It’s a big deal, Liora. We planned that Stanley would pick me up at 1 p.m. sharp after meeting the client so I could run some errands."

She paused, her hands gesturing wildly in disbelief. “And guess what? He didn’t show up. 'Again'."

"Guess the time now," she asked, already knowing the answer as I checked the clock on the wall.

“It’s past five now.” I replied.
