I lay still for a second, my heart beating a little faster than it should, and a wave of regret washed over me. I hadn’t wanted things to go that far, but I hadn’t stopped either. These days, I seems to be in a rollercoaster of confusion...
I glanced at Sophie, still asleep beside me. Her head on my chest, and the soft rise and fall of her breathing told me she was far from waking up. I didn’t want to make things complicated or awkward between us, especially, after what happened last night.
