RONAN'S POV;
It’s been Two days since I last saw Liora. I’ve been avoiding her—avoiding anything that could lead to being in the same space as her. It’s ridiculous, I know, but it’s the only way I can keep my emotions in check.
Work has been my escape, keeping me distracted and occupied. Sophie, on the other hand, has been a constant presence, always there with her infectious energy. She’s the kind of girlfriend most guys would dream of—supportive, fun, and uncomplicated. Maybe that’s why I’ve been considering my mom’s persistent nagging about settling down. Maybe it’s time to take her advice seriously and stop chasing after unattainable feelings.
Just as I was sinking into my thoughts, my phone buzzed. Nikolai’s name flashed on the screen.
“Hey, man!” he greeted, his face appearing on the video call.
“Hey yourself. How’s it going?” I replied, leaning back in my chair.
