Chapter 162 BRING HER HOME!

RONAN'S POV

Since the incident, I hadn’t been able to summon the courage to visit Dad in the hospital. The weight of guilt and regret pinned me down, suffocating me in my own thoughts. Nikolai had every right to be angry with me; I couldn’t blame him. If I were in his position, I wouldn’t listen either.

But no matter how much I tried to bury my emotions, one thought haunted me: If anything happens to Liora, I’ll never forgive myself. The idea gnawed at my mind, a relentless echo in the silence of my car as I finally drove to the hospital.

When I arrived, Dad was awake. Fully conscious, responsive, and—thankfully—able to communicate. Seeing him like this, alive and recovering, stirred a bittersweet relief in my chest.

As soon as Mum spotted me, her worry etched itself into every line of her face. "My goodness, Ronan," she said, her voice trembling, "you look so frustrated and....tired."

“Mum.” I gave her a faint nod as I slumped into the seat beside her.
