Chapter 156 A HEART ATTACK!

RONAN'S POV

I pushed open the door, stepping into the house in the dead of night. The weight of exhaustion dragged at my limbs, but the guilt in my chest was heavier. Liora was missing, and no one knew where she was. If only I had listened to her earlier, maybe I would’ve known something—anything—about her whereabouts.

The dim light in the living room caught my attention, and I saw Dad sitting in his favorite rocking chair by the corner. His silhouette, calm and steady, didn’t match the turmoil boiling inside me.

“Son,” his voice broke the silence, startling me.

“Dad?” I replied, surprised to see him still awake in his favorite corner, sipping his favourite Citrus Juice.

“What are you doing up at this hour?” I asked, walking toward him.

“When you left earlier, was it about Liora?” he asked, his gaze steady.

I stopped short. “Yes,” I admitted. “Nikolai called to give me an update. It turns out that Liora was…” I hesitated, struggling to find the right words.
