Aubrey’s pov ;
I walked into Lily’s wedding with Sophia by my side, the designs for Catherine tucked securely under my arm.
The venue was breathtaking—white roses everywhere, drapes cascading from the ceiling, and a soft, golden glow from the chandeliers that made everything look ethereal.
I should’ve felt proud bringing in these designs, but instead, there was a knot in my stomach. I could already sense that something was going to go wrong.
Catherine greeted me warmly, her smile genuine as always. "Aubrey, dear, it’s so good to see you. Thank you so much for coming," she said, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "I can’t wait to see what you’ve brought for us."
I forced a smile, trying to match her enthusiasm. "Thank you for having me, Catherine. It’s an honor to be here."
