“Shit…” I muttered under my breath. My pulse quickened, and my body tensed as his furious gaze locked onto me. And I felt as if I was caught doing something bad which was ridiculous.

What the fuck is he doing here? And how fuck did he found me?

He looked livid, his eyes blazing with something I couldn’t quite pinpoint—jealousy, rage, betrayal?

“What the hell are you doing here?” His voice was sharp and biting as he got closer to us. I opened my mouth to respond, but before I could get a word out, he roughly grabbed my arm and yanked me away from Alex, pulling me into his side like I was some possession he was reclaiming. His grip was tight, almost painful.

“What the—let me go!” I hissed, trying to pull free my hand, but he wouldn’t budge. His eyes flicked between Alex and me and his jaw clenched tight.
