Chapter 117

Noah, observing from behind, leaned closer and whispered, “It’s probably a client. Don’t do anything rash.”

Nicholas ignored him, his fists tightening at his sides as he continued to watch. Why does she smile so freely at others but remains so cold to me? The thought burned in his mind.

“Why does she have to be so distant only with me?” he murmured, his voice low and strained, barely audible over the soft hum of the restaurant.

Noah hesitated before speaking, carefully choosing his words. “You know, this isn’t the way to win her back. She’s not going to respond to this… stalking, for lack of a better word.”

Nicholas’s jaw tightened, and he turned slightly, his expression unreadable. “It’s not about winning her back, Noah. It’s—” He stopped, his voice faltering, unable to articulate what he truly felt.

Noah sighed, sensing his boss's inner turmoil. “If you keep pressuring her like this, you’ll just push her further away. Give her some space. Let her come to you.”
