Night had fallen by the time Gadreel returned to his manor. As he settled into a much needed hot bath, a sigh left his lips.
His body was still sore from having to sleep on the cold hard ground, and the warmth from the water was soothing.
Closing his eyes, he rested his head against the wall behind him and thought about the events that had happened earlier, the rescue, and everything after.
Once they had returned to civilization, Lucien, being ever the pest he was, had immediately taken Ivory to the hospital for a check up, preventing him from having a conversation with her, much like he had done on the boat.
But that wasn’t the only thing that had happened on the boat. At some point, while Ivory dozed off in one of the benches, Lucien had walked up to him and said.
“I appreciate you having taken care of my girlfriend, but from this moment forth, stay away from her. You’ve done enough damage already.”
