Gungnir

The oppressive atmosphere of the Sanctuary of the Frozen Blood pressed down on Velkharion like a physical weight. The massive chamber was carved entirely of enchanted frost, its surfaces shimmering with a cold, otherworldly light. Frozen rivers crisscrossed the floor, and jagged icicles dangled ominously from the ceiling, ready to strike at the first disruption. At the far end of the sanctuary stood a towering figure seated on an icy throne: Ymirion, the son of the Frost Giant King. His massive form radiated power and frost magic so intense that the air around him shimmered and crackled.

Ymirion's glowing blue eyes locked onto Velkharion as he approached, his heavy footsteps echoing through the chamber. The frost giant's voice boomed, shaking the very walls. "So, you are the mortal who dares invade Gjallar's Cradle. You've slain my vanguard, defiled my temple, and now you stand before me? You overestimate your strength."

Velkharion came to a stop, gripping Crimson Fang tightly. "If you're anything like your vanguard," he replied calmly, "I'm not too worried."

A deep, rumbling laugh escaped Ymirion, resonating with contempt. He rose from his throne, towering over Velkharion with frost-rune-covered armor and a massive glaive known as Thorned Cryospear. "Then prove your worth, interloper! Let us see if your arrogance can withstand the wrath of Jotun blood!"

As Ymirion descended from the throne, the entire chamber began to freeze over. Ice crawled across the walls and floor, and a blizzard-like storm erupted within the sanctuary. Ymirion raised Thorned Cryospear, slamming it into the ground. "Blizzard Domain!" he roared, the frost-infused magic creating a hazardous zone that drained stamina and reduced mobility.

Velkharion didn't flinch. His blessings shielded him from the worst of the debuff, but the battlefield still presented a dangerous disadvantage. He raised one hand, invoking his first spell. "Third Tier Magic: Writhing Briar Bastion!" Massive thorn-covered vines erupted from the frozen ground, wrapping around Ymirion's legs to slow his movements.

Effect of Writhing Briar Bastion: Slows target by 30%.

The frost giant countered immediately, tearing through the vines with a single swing of his Cryospear. Shards of ice erupted from the weapon, hurtling toward Velkharion. He raised his blade, channeling rune magic into it as he shouted, "Runic Engraving: Emberlash Blade!" Crimson Fang ignited with flames, the fiery aura deflecting the incoming ice shards.

Velkharion charged forward, delivering a powerful two-handed slash that struck Ymirion's armor with a burst of elemental fire. The attack left a glowing scorch mark, but the frost giant barely staggered. With a deep growl, Ymirion retaliated, swinging his Cryospear in a wide arc.

Velkharion invoked another spell mid-dodge, his voice steady: "Maximize Magic: Explosive Ice Spears!" Three frostfire-imbued spears formed in the air, each one hurling toward Ymirion with deadly precision. The impacts sent shockwaves through the chamber, forcing the frost giant to steady himself.

Ymirion growled in frustration, raising his Cryospear to unleash his next attack. "You cannot hope to challenge the blood of Jotun!" he bellowed. "Cryospear Cataclysm!"

The frost giant hurled his weapon into the air, and it split into dozens of glowing ice shards that rained down across the chamber. Velkharion activated his mobility skill, "Third Tier Magic: Verdant Glade Step." Glowing roots wrapped around his legs, pulling him into the ground and allowing him to reappear several meters away. The shards struck where he had just stood, detonating in bursts of frost magic that froze the ground solid.

Panting slightly, Velkharion raised both hands and chanted his next spell. "Sixth Tier Magic: Bloomstorm of Sovereignty!" The chamber darkened as a vortex of glowing petals and thorn-covered vines erupted around Ymirion. The cascading waves of fire and frost magic battered the frost giant, tearing into his armor and slowing his movements.

Ymirion roared in fury, his frost aura surging as he broke free of the vines. He lunged forward, swinging his Cryospear in a devastating arc. Velkharion barely managed to parry the blow with Crimson Fang, the impact sending him skidding backward across the icy floor.

As the battle raged on, Velkharion noticed Ymirion's frost aura beginning to waver. The giant's movements grew slower, his attacks less precise. Sensing an opportunity, Velkharion invoked one final spell. He raised Crimson Fang high, channeling all his remaining mana into a single, devastating attack.

"Maximize Magic: Celestial Bloomstorm!" Velkharion roared, his voice echoing through the chamber.

The sky above the sanctuary cracked open, and a radiant storm of elemental petals descended, each one infused with fire, frost, and nature magic. The petals swirled into a cyclone, converging on Ymirion and striking with relentless force. The frost giant let out a final, deafening roar as the combined magic overwhelmed him, his massive frame collapsing to the ground with a thunderous crash.

Damage Dealt with Celestial Bloomstorm: 400 Magic ATK.

Ymirion's glowing eyes flickered and dimmed as his body began to disintegrate into frost and ash. His final words echoed through the chamber: "You may have defeated me, mortal… but the wrath of my father… will be your undoing."

A notification appeared in Velkharion's HUD:

Boss Defeated: Ymirion, Son of the Jotun King. XP Gained: +12,000. Rare Item Acquired: Cryospear Core.

Level Up: 49. Level Up: 50.

Velkharion's body surged with power as he advanced several levels at once. He stood amidst the frozen ruins of the sanctuary, his breath visible in the cold air. The challenge had been monumental, but his determination had carried him through.

Ahead, at the end of the chamber, a faint glow emanated from a pedestal. Velkharion took a deep breath, striding forward. He knew what awaited him: Gungnir, Odin's legendary spear.
