Overlord: Enter The New World

i don't know why so many authors put that much importance/time/relevance to ygraslid the game and story in the overlord fandom, i feel their effort would be better spent in an original story than this (sorry if that feels to heavy handed) but overlord is not at all about what ainz or other npc or player did to go to level 100 or the mechanics of how to level up or get classes, overlord is more about the actions and reactions of the players/npcs to the new world and how the world deals with them than anything else, with ygraslid only as a source of power/mythology for the overlord fandom, like chakra/haki/nen to other fandoms with their respective mythology about those sources of energy/power, and thats only because of the main character momonga and the way he compares the new world with the game he is so familiar with, if it were anyone else npc or player it is likely that the only way they would say anything about ygraslid is about how someone is as weak as something from there or something simple like that, again ygraslid the game for overlord story is just like chakra from naruto, you could very well reference that you get your power, etc by that power source and that's it, by doing so much world building of a story about things in ygraslid for a fanfic in overlord, i would dare say is counterproductive because you put so much effort in a new concept from a place (the game) that in the original where left vague as hell beacuse the author couldnt bother/was vaguely a copy of dungeons and dragons and because in each light novel new things are explained or more like invented at the moment to make the story more deep but not because it was the focus of the story at all, is like making a fanfic of a side story while the actual intenction was to do it from the main story, because of all the scarcely use/new/invented elements or concepts of the main one, not only that but how many chapter would it need to even coming close to the actual story begining in the new world, and then beacuse you have taken all the time to make the strongest character in ygraslid how much time would it take to curbstomp anyone in the new world compared to original ainz, or would it also end up being the same as the original, what sense would that make then, story(fanfic) wise, with a progression of almost half of the fanfic (if not 2/3) in an almost oc world (ygraslid, because with the lack of details it have, it could very well be any other mmo, and then you could make him transmigate to anywhere else) with the rest almost following the same things, and really what would you change in the new world after all of this ygraslid content, in a way it should really be important for any overlord fanfic/author to just put ygraslid as a short prelude begining chapter, because the more you do in ygraslid the more you put yourself in a bind when you finally get to the new world (in writing/story progression), and that's for the author that even get to that point, with the mayority that put so much words lenght in the "game" end up droping the fanfic some chapters later when they finally get in the new world because of lack of motivation, burnout because of all the creative juices they put in the ygraslid part of the story, or because they make so much of a world enemy class power level of a player that when they get to the new world what can they do but to speed run the new world thanks to knowing that player are almost the strongest with some dragons as exeptions, but in the case of the overpower character they make, not even that exeption exist to them, so really at that point what story can they make that isn't "with my power i declare miself king so deal with it" and that's it. sorry for the rambling, but really make a speedrun of ygraslid the sooner the better if you don't want to end up doing it in the new world (and only world that should be writing about for a overlord fanfic, not saying that ygraslid isn't important, but that it is important for descriptions and mithology in the new world, not to make a story about it, for harry potter one of the more writing about fandoms, they are a lot of story before harry potter but they always have the same magic/hogwartsas central points even if they have a different timeline, same with naruto having four ninja wars periods to make a story about, but never have they make a story about just magic or chakra alone with a diferent place to use does powers, that is of any importance anyway, and thats really it, ygraslid is only a power source for overlord (with a little mythology in the people that come from there that are in the history of the world), in its description or way of doing stuff not story alone material, even the interlude story about the conquering of nazarick was more about the effects and gameplay mechanics not story/leveling/etc)
