Chapter 19: The Dragon's Entry

Night enveloped the abandoned warehouse like a shroud, obscuring the frenetic activity within. Goomoonryong moved through the shadows with the silent grace of a predator. Sera Kang had provided him with detailed information on the guards' disposition and potential traps. There was no time for mistakes.

He approached the perimeter of the warehouse, his senses alert to any movement or sound. He could sense the presence of several individuals inside, their ki tense and expectant. They weren't high-level martial artists, but they were numerous and armed.

He found a weak spot in the security, a poorly closed back door. With a quick, silent movement, he opened it and slipped into the warehouse. The darkness was almost absolute, but his eyes, trained for years in the shadows of the Murim, quickly adjusted.

He moved cautiously, avoiding areas illuminated by flickering bulbs. He could hear the guards' voices in the distance, speaking in low voices. His priority was to find Shi-woon.

Following the map Sera had provided, he headed toward the back of the warehouse, where his apprentice was supposedly being held. As he drew closer, he heard a faint murmur, a young, familiar voice. It was Shi-woon.

He came to a reinforced metal door, guarded by two men. Goomoonryong knew he couldn't afford to remain stealthy any longer. Surprise was his best weapon.

In an instant, he moved. With blinding speed, he delivered two precise blows to the guards' vital points. They fell to the ground without a sound. Goomoonryong opened the door and entered the room.

The light was dim, but enough to see Shi-woon sitting on the floor, his hands tied behind his back. His face was pale, but his eyes showed a surprising determination.

"Master!" Shi-Woon exclaimed, his voice filled with relief.

"I'm here, boy," Goomoonryong replied, quickly moving over to untie his hands. "Are you all right?"

"Yeah, just a little bruised," Shi-Woon said, rubbing his sore wrists.

Just as Goomoonryong finished freeing him, they heard the sound of hurried footsteps approaching. The alarm had been triggered.

"We have to go," Goomoonryong said, lifting Shi-Woon up.

They left the room just as a group of armed men entered the hallway. A confrontation was inevitable.

Goomoonryong stood between Shi-Woon and the attackers. His presence radiated a palpable threat, stopping the men in their tracks for a moment.

"Tell your boss I've come to take back what belongs to me," Goomoonryong said, his voice cold and full of fury.

The men didn't hesitate to attack. They rushed at Goomoonryong, brandishing their weapons. But they were met with an unstoppable force. Goomoonryong moved like a whirlwind, his blows swift and precise, disarming and knocking down his opponents with lethal efficiency.

Shi-woon watched the scene in awe. His master's speed and power were incredible. He was the embodiment of the legend of the Nine Arts Dragon.

Despite Goomoonryong's skill, the men were numerous, and some managed to surround them. Shi-Woon, remembering his training, positioned himself behind his master, ready to defend himself if necessary.

At one point, one of the attackers attempted to flank Goomoonryong and move toward Shi-Woon. Before he could reach him, Shi-Woon reacted instinctively, using one of the basic kicks he had learned. The blow connected hard with the man's stomach, knocking him down.

Goomoonryong gave him an approving look. "Well done, lad. You're learning."

The fight continued, but Goomoonryong's arrival had shifted the balance of power. His skill was far superior to that of his attackers. Within minutes, all the men were on the ground, incapacitated.

"We have to find the leader," Goomoonryong said, looking around. "He's the one who has the answers."

To be continued...
