Chapter 3

"Now, please leave my store," I turned to the manager, my tone leaving no room for argument. "Manager Zhang, 'escort' Miss Shaw out. From now on, she is not welcome at 'Starlight'. If she tries to force her way in again, call the police immediately."

"Yes, Mr. Frost," Manager Zhang immediately stepped forward, making a 'please' gesture towards Susan, his attitude respectful yet firm.

"Frost! You wouldn't dare!" Susan trembled with rage.

"Miss Shaw, this way please," the security guard also approached, positioning himself between her and me.

Aria, standing nearby, turned pale with fright and quickly grabbed the emotionally charged Susan. "Susan, let's go. Don't make a scene here..."

Susan was half-pushed, half-carried out by the security guards.

I couldn't even be bothered to give her another glance, turning directly to the designer instead. "We'll take 'The One' wedding dress. Use the highest priority to alter it to size, ensuring it's flawless in three days."

"Certainly, Mr. Frost!"

I gazed at the dazzling "The One" wedding dress, feeling no ripple in my heart whatsoever. The day before the wedding, I received an invitation to Aria's birthday party.

Aria and Susan had been thick as thieves since childhood, so this was likely Susan's doing.

Given the ongoing collaboration between Qin Family Estate and Frost Manor, I reluctantly decided to attend.

By the time I arrived, the party was winding down.

As soon as I walked in, I spotted Susan lounging lazily on a velvet couch.

She turned to look at me, her face wearing an "I knew it" expression.

I deliberately ignored her, instead picking up a glass of red wine from a nearby table and finding an empty seat.

Aria hurried over to Susan with a piece of cake, "Susan, why is Frost ignoring you? He's not really serious about this, is he?"

Susan scoffed, "He's gotten quite clever now, hasn't he? Playing these... hard-to-get games."

She said this deliberately loud enough for me to hear. From where I was sitting, I could clearly make out their conversation, but I continued sipping my wine, unfazed.Aria spoke urgently, "Susan, both Frost Manor and the Winters Family have been busy preparing lately. This... doesn't seem like it's fake."

Susan scoffed, putting down her phone and crossing her arms as she looked at Aria. "Frost? Leave me? Would he dare? He loves me to his very core. He can't live without me. You know that."

"But... it's such a big commotion this time. Both families have already sent out invitations."

Susan impatiently interrupted, "So what? They're just putting on a show."

"I guess he got triggered when I threw away the ring the other day. He probably thinks he needs to teach me a lesson before the wedding."

"Huh, he's getting more and more childish."

Aria furrowed her brow, seeming to want to say something but holding back, and looked in my direction.

A message popped up on my phone, sent by Aria.

[Frost, this is your last chance. If you don't come over and apologize now, Susan will really get angry.]

I put down my glass and walked towards the two of them.

Seeing me approach, Aria tactfully walked away.
