It took them two days, but they did manage to get Richard to the clinic, and then to report to Bael. The orc instructor hummed when Edmund finished the story, and then leveled him with a glare.
"Now, tell me what really happened, or you will find yourselves chased out of this guild before the hour is through," at Bael's growl, Edmund began to sweat. How was he going to tell the orc that Felix had used blood manipulation? If he did that, then he would doom the bunny shifter to a lifetime sentence.
"It was me. I killed the wendigos," Felix stepped forward, and Edmund closed his eyes. "I cut their arteries, and they blead out."
"Is that so?" Bael looked at his medallion, and Edmund supposed that it was a truth necklace. Those were rare, but Edmund couldn't shake off the feeling that such an expense was not beyond the orc or the guild. "You don't seem to be lying. At least on one of the points."
