Alone in their room, Felix slowly got in his pajamas. Edward was doing much the same. As Edward had promised him, he had kept mostly to himself. They had danced the night away, the bond growing stronger.
Felix had wanted for the wedding to be the final push that the bond had needed, but that was not to be. Instead, the bond had just given them the ability to feel each other's emotions.
When fully claimed, the bond would give them the ability to know where the other was, regardless of where they went. But for now, Felix was glad that he could get a hint at what Edward was feeling.
Tired, was the prominent emotion. It was almost four in the morning, and the council session was at noon, at exactly one p.m. Felix knew that nobody would wait for him to get there. With his voice, Richard's, Gilbert and Arcturus, the final council member would be vetoed easily, if he didn't lend his support to the cause.
