Suddenly, I feel a sharp object pointed at my neck as an arm wrapped around my shoulder. His forearm was close to my throat.
“Don’t move.” I gasped at the deep voice close to my ear. “Are you from Blood Moon?” He pressed the object a little closer with a threat. “I suggest you tell the truth. I won’t hesitate to kill you.”
Despite his threats, there was something about his voice that sounded familiar to me. And instead of fearing what might happen to me, I mulled over the fact that I have heard this voice before.
It didn’t take long for the answer to serve on a silver platter to me. The sound of a woman's gasp brought me out of my reverie.
“Dad! Let her go. It’s Nasrin.” I turned to the woman talking and was shocked that I saw my older sister, Sage. My two sisters were by her side, Sky and Serene. They were horrified when they found me.
