Validation

My heart skipped a beat. I knew the truth why the werewolves let me roam free but I didn’t want to tell my family the whole truth. I have an inkling. And for the first time in my life, I’m having doubts on my family. There was a side of me that couldn’t trust them, no matter how much I tried. I just realized it all of the sudden.

“Nasrin… I want you to go back to them.” My eyebrows knitted together as I stared at my father in incredulity. “If they let you roam freely and even made friends to aid your escape, then there’s a chance that they have a soft spot for a weakling like you.” My chest pained at the mention of my weakness. My shoulders slumped in disappointment.

“Stay with them and gather information. We can set a time for us to meet for you to report what you’ve gathered.”
