Sage laughed mockingly as everyone only frowned. “A werewolf helped you?” She sneered. “Why would a monster help a human like you? Especially when they know you are an Elsher. Do you expect us to believe you, little sis? Werewolves– especially the pack where you escaped from, hate our guts. We are each other's worst nemesis.”

My frown deepened at her words. I had an instinct to defend the pack despite the people in front of me, was my family. They should be my priority. They were my blood. I should believe them first before anything. But the thought that she had called them monsters irked me.
“They’re not monsters. They’re also people like us.” I instinctively reasoned. Sage laughed mockingly as Serene chuckled while eyeing as if I’m naive. “They just wanted to fight back because you attacked their pack.”
