Sky cursed, pushing her legs further until she was a couple of feet behind me. My legs slowed down watching the scene in awe.
“Rin!” My head whipped towards the direction of the familiar voice. My eyes widened in shock at seeing him again.
“Caleb?” I was surprised to see him. He was running fast from my right towards me. His eyes suddenly widened in alarm when it shifted behind me.
“Rin!” He screamed, pushing his legs to run faster.
Suddenly, I plummeted to the ground, face forward. I heard a loud gunshot before I hit the forest floor. As soon as I came to, I began to panic when I realized what the heavyweight was that slumped to my back. My heart began to beat deafeningly as I slowly and carefully turned around.
I screamed at the sight of blood pouring out of my sister’s back. “Sky! No!” I lifted her up so she could face me. She was still awake but her eyes were droopy. She was about to pass out.
