He barely had time to react. In that movement desperation has taken over his body. He kicked out, his boot colliding with the hound's jaw with a sickening crack. But that monster barely had flinched. Instead, it twisted mid-air, jaws snapping, and clamped its fangs deep into his calf.

The vulture circled back, preparing for another strike. kaelvren gritted his teeth, muscles coiling like a spring. He tightened his grip on his dagger, waiting. Timing was everything.
The second the creature dived, he struck.

His grip tightened around his dagger as he was preparing for his next assault. But before he could react, a new monster appear a Gorefiend which had charged toward him.

That was all he needed.
Kaelvren twisted his dagger with ease, then delivered a single, precise strike—driving it straight into the beast's eye socket.
A shriek tore through the battlefield.
The monster staggered, its massive hands clawing at its ruined face. Kaelvren didn't give it a chance to recover.
With this advantage He lunged.
His dagger plunged deep into the monster's throat.
He twisted.
The blade cut through muscle and bone until—**with a sickening crack—**it tore free.

The world around him around him started swaying.
From the shadows, a Harbinger rank Abomination emerged a grotesque, towering mass of writhing tendrils and hollow, soulless eyes.
It locked onto him, hunger dripping from its gaping maw.
Kaelvren tried to stand.
His legs refused.
The Abomination lunged.
A sudden Pain erupted inside his torso.
Claws of Abomination pierced his the abdomen, lifting him into the air.

His body was failing.
His mind was slipping.
But then—a spark ignited in his vision.
A notification flashed before his eyes.
>Ding!
[You have partially unlocked your bloodline.]
A faint blue glow flickered around Kaelvren's body like a thunder spark in a human form. It was brief, almost unnoticeable, but in that instant, everything changed. The claws of Abomination, buried deep in his torso, hesitated. For a fraction of a second, the beast flinched.
The sensation—it wasn't pain. It was something else. Something that made the creature wary.
But Kaelvren didn't have time to think.
Instinct took over.
With that Kaelvren once again was Summoning every last shred of his strength, he wrenched his arm free and drove his dagger into the creature's throat.
The Abomination recoiled, letting out a shriek of agony. Its grip loosened. Kaelvren fell, crashing into the ground.
Pain exploded through his ruined body.
His ribs were shattered. His lungs burned. His vision swam.
Move. I have to move.
But his limbs refused to obey. His body had reached its limit.
The battle wasn't over, but his strength was gone.
The monsters around him sensed it.
The growls grew louder.
The snarls surrounded him.
More creatures lunged.
But before they could reach him—
The ground beneath him disappeared.
Kaelvren's body plummeted.
The battlefield vanished above him, replaced by a dark abyss.
He was falling.
The cliff had crumbled beneath him.
And now—there was nothing but the void below.
The wind echo inside his ears.
It was a wild, merciless force, screaming past him as he plummeted through the abyss. His body tumbled, weightless, broken in ripples of agony. His consciousness wavered, slipping further with every second.
Yet, even as the darkness swallowed him, even as the monsters above watched from the cliff's edge, Kaelvren grinned.
Weak but Defiant.
Blood start to trickles from his lips as he let out his breath.
"Come and get me, you damn dogs…"
His voice was barely more than a whisper, drowned by the wind.
"I'm not dying in your mouths hahaha ."
And then—his vision blurred.
A haze settled over his mind.
A single thought flickered in the dying embers of his awareness—
If word ever reached the real world…
If people knew that he had single-handedly—literally single-handedly—slain Rank 1, Rank 2, even Rank 3 monsters…
They would call him a prodigy.
A genius unlike any before him.
But none of it mattered.
Not anymore.
Because now—
He was dying.
And what was the point of it all?
He had sworn—promised himself—that he would never suffer.
Never fall.
Not like his parents had.
Yet here he was.
Falling.
Just like them.
The wind howled.
His eyelids grew heavy.
His limbs numb.
And as the abyss swallowed him—
Kaelvren closed his eyes.
