This book is a slow burn that took 6 chaps for me to get hooked on. Your MC's personality switching is like Moon Knight's. One moment he's crying and getting scared, one moment he's bashing heads like the terminator. 

I really like the MC fighting people clearly stronger than him and plot armor helping out. 

But the child talking like a child yet acting mature like an adult. Just stop it. Just stick to one. You have two personalities, you can just assign the adult to the literal adult, okay? 

Other than that, the story telling is really good. Grammar is on point, feels like experiencing the scenes myself. I also really like how you don't write expressions when people are talking. I like freedom of imagining their facial expressions when reading the convos.
