After a tragic accident that claimed the lives of his parents and little sister, Leo, just 17 years old, found himself shouldering all responsibilities alone.
By some miracle, he survived the past four months on his own—attending high school, juggling multiple part-time jobs, and enduring sympathetic gazes that pained him.
The only respite he found was in books, which offered him an escape and some semblance of joy.
One day, while engrossed in the book 'Path of Heroes: Battle Against the End,' his life took an unexpected turn.
Halfway through the story, he inexplicably found himself transmigrated into the world of Path of Heroes, inhabiting the body of Azriel Crimson—a character never mentioned in the story's first half.
An extra.
Someone seemingly irrelevant to the plot.
Unfortunately—or perhaps fortunately—fate had other plans, and Leo soon discovered that being a mere extra was not his destiny after all.

Shameless author review here! Feel free to ask me questions regarding my novel, and I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities.
Set in a magical world in 2148,we follow the shoes of a 16 year old boy Azriel Crimson aka Leo who has transmigrated to a new world. Only in 39 Chapters, Path of the extra is enough to capture your attention by delivering emotions. MC's hate for harem was a major plus point for me (Kudos to Author for that). I will advice others to give this book a chance atleast. My only fear is that System doesn't make MC just too OP. This might be my first review of any novel I read on this platform and is only to give author some extra motivation to upload next chapters because his updates are so slow that i might die due to cliffhangers.
Simply the best novel to have ever graced this platform
Why is everyone starting a new novel 🤔 Well I don't care. Time to read another transmigration novel.
It seems like I accidentally found a gem. The trope is not original, I mean, there are a lot of novels out there with a similar transmigration to extra and bla bla bla, but the author was able to actually make a good story. Writing: I love the pace, and the overall writing quality is really good World building: Great, there are a lot of mysteries that want you to continue reading. Characters: The mc is smart and adapts quickly to the new world but has his insecurities and doubts, lingering feelings about his past that still torment him, but this makes room to a great character development. He isn't afraid of altering the events as he wants to improve the characters growth for a better ending. With only 80+ chapters it's difficult to give a full review on all the characters but I can say without a doubt that the author made many supporting characters to have something unique that can bring a lot of potential in the future. There is only a little flaw: the updates are a bit slow but still updates regularly, so there is not much to worry about. Overall, the story has great potential. I hope the author keeps up the good work, as my only worry is that this type of novel requires a lot of chapters, so I hope the author won't decline with the quality going onwards.
Me and the MC have something in common we both don't like harems 🫡

I'm on chapter 89 right now, and while this novel isn't a masterpiece, it hits a certain spot for lovers of the "transmigrated into an extra" trope. It contains unique enough world building to stand apart from others in its genre while also having a great opening, interesting characters, and a main protagonist that isn't just a blank slate. The past our protagonist lived prior to transmigration affects him, and it's nice to read about how he deals (or doesn't deal) with his memories and past attachments from that world. Typically authors just say the protagonist was an orphan with no ambitions prior to transmigrating, so this was a refreshing change of pace. Furthermore.... NO HAREM WOOOOO! AND EVEN BETTER, OUR PROTAGONIST ISNT DENSE GUYS!! THIS IS AMAZING Overall, I'd highly recommend picking up this story. I will admit, it has its confusing moments (at times I even thought I missed a chapter), but the setting up/ foreshadowing made so far has made me excited for what's to come. It's early in the novel, so let's home I don't regret singing this praises in the future lol. 4/5 ⭐️
The resplendent narrative titled "Path of the Extra" by Crypthh, unfurls a magnum opus that ventures into the territory of family and loss with unparalleled finesse and masterful storytelling. This digital tome is a veritable work woven with threads of profound philosophy, brilliant prose and a narrative flexibility that defies the conventional confines of contemporary literature. The story follows a protagonist, orphaned in one life, prince in another, as he embarks on a peregrination of improvement and self-discovery that is no different from what we see in mythologies and legends of old. Like other works of the genre, the narrative explores the protagonist's life as an 'extra', a metaphysical representation of the human nature pertaining to the character's lack of presence in the stage of life. Each and every word of this magisterial work is inculcated with vocabulary and verbiage that is both grandiloquent and mellifluous. The author manages to encapsulate the readers by delineating the odyssey portrayed in the novel with a lexical panache that is as invigorating as it is erudite. The author’s unparalleled ability to conjure vivid imagery and evoke profound emotional resonance is reminiscent of the literary titans of yore. Each character, regardless of the importance they pose to the plot, is meticulously etched with their own inner turmoils and nigh-tangible verisimilitude. My serendipitous encounter with this novel has been a scintillating experience that has brought joy to my once bleak life. POTE, is without a doubt, a tour de force that is destined to ascend to the pantheon of literary immortality. This is not merely a novel; it is an intellectual sojourn, an ethereal voyage that will leave an indelible imprint upon the reader’s psyche. In summation, Crypthh has bestowed upon the literary world a quintessential masterpiece, a story like no other, a masterpiece that will etch itself onto the ever-flowing river of history and will undoubtedly be revered by cognoscenti and literati alike. No novel can compare to this work veritable symphony of words that exalts the sublime potential of the written word.
I am really enjoying this novel so far. It is truly amazing, and I find myself eager for more. The storyline is engaging, the world-building is great, and the characters are well-developed. The only downside is the update frequency. While I appreciate the author's hard work, I can't help but wish for more chapters. Please keep up the amazing work! I eagerly await the next update.
I think this novel has the most interesting and unique beginning I’ve read in its genre. The secondary characters are interesting so far, and the story progresses well at the right pace. It could be a masterpiece I say ‘could’ because there are still few chapters and the story has just begun, but if it continues with this quality and improves, it could truly be called a masterpiece.
The Path of the Extra is by far one of the best Extra Genre Stories that you will find on the Internet that are developing into a masterpiece. If you are looking to fully immerse yourself into a story this is the one for you. The world-building, character development, power system, villains, and plot are all the best I have seen and I couldn’t get enough of it. As someone who has read close to 1000 different light novels, most seem like garbage to me now and I will forever feel like something is missing in them as I compare them to this novel. I will not spoil anything and sincerely hope that you pick this novel up, read it, and watch as all the puzzle pieces fall together as the story goes on. I hope you read and find yourself asking questions about the story and predicting what may happen only to be right or often completely thrown off just as I was. This was an incredibly enjoyable story and the only one I have ever found myself so immersed in and resonating with. Crypth you have honestly and sincerely done an incredible job with this and I sincerely wish you the best as this story is a piece of art. Please continue working on it as I, and I assume many others, are eager to see how our characters will develop. Thank you! ;)
A great novel. Author is a excellent writer, better than most you find in this platform. story is great, the only problem I am facing now at the start of the novel is the pace, from novel perspective it is correct. but because you only get a single chapter daily, you always feel like it is pretty slow. if I started the novel when it already have 40-50 chapter, I would have loved the pace.
You will either drop it this the moment he starts sobbing like a baby or you'll trudge through to realize the MC just wants to be an Extra. Slight Spoilers of course. Leo/Azazel/whatever he prefers, our MC is an okay guy. He's not exactly the most dependable dude out there. He's just a guy who wants to do what he wants and wants to find something he can find truly interesting. There's nothing wrong with that obviously. The only thing that bugs me though is as a reader who reads from that perspective things can feel a bit dull at times. We know this is an Extra type of character based on the novel's name. What we should be aware is this isn't one of those Extra type of MCs who breaks out of being an Extra and grows into a full fledged character who stands in the spotlight while using some knowledge he has to push himself to greater heights. Okay maybe a bit but not to what you'd expect. Nope not at all. What we got is a guy who pretty much has probably one of the greatest talents in the world for almost anything he sets his mind on but doesn't really try cause A. He's too good it gets boring to fast and B He just prefers to be sidelined. If I wanted to be nice about it I'd call this type of MC a coward and trust me I'm trying to be nice with that term. Now after reading up to the current number of chapters it's dawned on me that it seems set to go in this direction for his mindset, just trying to be an extra. You'll notice hints throughout. Him not wanting to be #1, not trying to really fight, or just him outright stating it. His mindset isn't wrong honestly. What's the problem is he's too damn weak for his conviction to even matter. Should've been obvious the moment he almost got smacked by a titanic mind reader to I don't know... train? You would've thought knowing some imminent threat would make the MC try to train but honestly there's been only one dedicated training scene and him chickening out cause of his family glaring at him. It's quite obvious the only reason he kept up against everyone else was him being an Intermediate rank 3rd Mana Core at the start and his slight knowledge. Also I should mention the weak to strong tag is 100% accurate. He's pretty weak not pathetic but slightly above average at best. Everyone else just thinks he's overpowered which he isn't. And don't expect him to be either. Score: 7 out of 10. Give it a try. Personal Score: 6 out of 10 Not a fan of this type of main character personally. Maybe someone else will enjoy these type of MCs who like being an actual Extra. I will say the side characters are probably the reason I got this far. Solomon, Jasmine and even the actual protagonist is fun and or interesting. The MC? Kind of a downer but I feel it was written that way on purpose. Again not for me personally. I hope that doesn't offend.
