A sea of light green and white robes filled the huge auditorium, with dark blue teachers' robes popping up here and there, forming an illusion of a floral paradise beneath the podium. Newbies sat in front rows while seniors filled the back and balconies. Rough grey walls were not enough to suppress the chattering noises popping from every single corner where light green was visible.
"Welcome to the Dynwaradine Magic Academy for elite Magicians. I am your headmistress, Reyna Kerzecore. As the 333rd batch of young magical talents..." A lazy voice echoed through the auditorium, reciting the same recital uttered for a hundred years, without having any new addition or substractions of words.
Suddenly the commotion in the main hall turned into a pin-drop silence. Old students were nonchalant about this sudden appearance as they had seen this scene a thousand times before. But, the new faces showed stunned expressions as they had not seen anyone climb onto the podium even tho some of them glued their eyes to short staircases on both sides to catch a glimpse of the legendary headmistress of Dynwardine acedamy.
Right now, Alex was also looking at her with a laser-like focus. He was amused to see a character he had created standing before him on the podium in flesh and blood. The tall, middle-aged woman with a kind expression has short, shoulder-length green hair and striking green eyes, along with tanned skin. She really does have elvish features as he described. His heart was full of sentiment, so he nearly moved into tears.
"Do you want this seat next to you?"
Having broken his rare sentimental moment Alex was annoyed. The seat next to him was visibly empty. He got a good spot to sit, so why do he need another seat? For his imaginary friend? He looked at the speaker silently with eyes full of contempt.
The other party raised his eyebrow a little and shrugged before sitting beside Alex. His long dark purple ponytail swayed in the winds as golden morning sunlight enhanced the handsome features of the newcomer. He smirked before swiftly sitting beside Alex without any more words.
Alex heard so many squeals from nearby female students. Seems like the intimidation caused by Miss Reyna is not as powerful as the charm of a handsome face.
Purple hair just like the protagonist. He thought in silence.
WAIT!
PURPLE HAIR?
Alex quickly turned his head to glance at the new student, wanting to verify his hunch. As a result, he felt a sharp pain in his neck.
Hiss...
Purple hair noticed all this in the corner of his eyes. An amused glint shone in his dark purple eyes as his face lit up with interest.
"Did you break your neck? Do you need any help?"
His voice was laced with mockery and fake sincerity. Others might interpret it as kindness but as the author of this damned novel, he knew very well what kind of a protagonist he had created. What concern? If he can he would laugh until his guts spill around.
He rubbed his neck harder while muttering thanks. No need to think more. He was sure about the identity of the purple hair by now. Noel Grantz, the miserable main character of 'Lost Bloodline.'
We have finally met!
If he could, Alex would keep two continents worth of distance between him and this God of vengeance.
But, the First time that thought crossed his mind, as usual, the unwelcomed guest living inside his head had made its rare appearance to disrupt his grand plans.
"What do you mean by was not expecting any missions? Do you think I have any pain in my butt to spend so much energy to bring you here for a lovely vacation? Of course, you have to fix this Godforsaken plot?" Alex can imagine the way the system rolls its eyes. Well, if it has eyes. Who knows? Alex hadn't seen this so-called system since his transmigration.
In the past two years, he tried to recall the plot in detail, which was much easier as it was his latest novel.
So Alex had spent the last two years recalling the plot he had created. To put it simply the main character, Noel Grantz is the second son of the Prestigious Gratnz family, born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was a very gifted child, showered with admiration of his parents and elder brother. This made him into a cocky, spoiled youth who loved to keep track of the grievances he suffered, just to pay them multiple folds later. However, Thanks to being a master manipulator since childhood, he wasn't known as an insufferable rich kid. Therefore nobles and common folks both only knew him as a kind, generous, handsome second young master of the Grantz family who had a great magical talent since birth. Even the ones who got the short end of the stick thanks to his pettiness might think what happened to them was a punishment of the god rather than pre-planned, well-executed revenge.
At the magic level assessment on the enrollment day to Magic Academy, he was identified as a rare 6th-level magician. He became an overnight sensation and together with his hardworking personality he became the most powerful youngest sage of the kingdom. The people of the Dynwardine kingdom were filled with joy at the emergence of the thirteenth sage in history. These things are for later.
Doesn't this sound great! So where is he miserable?
Everything started with his academy days. Alex Stonelake the precious little darling of Duke of Stonelake, who was pampered to the sky, was not happy to see the spotlight he used to have since birth was shining on someone. He held a grudge and played petty tricks on the protagonist to make his life harder. Of course, this wasn't enough even to form a crack in his protagonist's halo.
But two years after their graduation, some dark mage kidnapped the female lead Treesha Lester, Noel's nominal fiance, and escaped into forbidden mountains, declaring it was in the name of true love. Both Noel and Alex were chosen for the rescue team thanks to their high talents. During the harsh conditions, many in the rescue team had passed away, leaving only two of them alone. Somehow Alex and Noel managed to find the female lead in a coma. Everything went smoothly until Alex turned against Noel, declaring he had fallen for Treesha, and tried to kill Noel, which obviously failed in the end. Alex died and Noel was seriously injured. At this moment Treesha who was in a coma for the past two months woke up.
Readers thought this was an opportunity for male and female leads to bond but alas! Alex intended to shatter their hopes into dust. Woken up Female lead killed the male lead and absorbed his life essence, awakening her hidden bloodline of magic suction. Then she spread woe and death by sucking out the life essence of magicians, turning them into her soulless puppets while strengthening herself more and more with absorbed essence. Just like that, the great dynasty of magicians ended...
