When plot holes becomes death traps...

Alex was pretty sure the minor villain he had transmigrated into was not named Alex by him. If he really wanted to sneak his name into his story he would give that name to the most successful hero ever. Who in their right mind gives their real name to a character who is destined to die a terrible death?

Also, he had a terrible suspicion regarding Alex's sudden love for Treesha. The original owner was a selfish brat but not rotten to the core to wish Noel's death just for some girl. He might openly challenge Noel and headbutt him after they go back to the kingdom instead. Coincidentally, this fight made Noel weak enough for Treesha to kill him with few blows.

Alex felt a headache coming on.

When he was writing this shitty novel, he only wanted to see the despair of his readers. So he did not explain these details clearly. Thanks to this stupidity, he has no clear idea about the way the original owner dies except it had happened after two months of finding a comatose female lead.

When did she enchanted the original? Where did this fight break out? When exactly did it happen?

"F*ck this shit!"

He muttered a curse as he recalled this entangled mess of details.

"Classmate, That is not a nice thing to say. A gentleman should be aware of how he speaks."

For real? Right now?

This Holy Father really knows how to pick the worst moment to push his buttons.

Alex rolled his eyes and focused back on the podium. Miss Reyna has disappeared, and another lady in a dark blue robe stood in that spot, explaining the school rules for newbies. After a while, his eyelids grew heavy, and her voice sounded like a lullaby to his ears.

How pleasant! Something smells like coffee.

Stacy must be trying another recipe. Even though she is annoying like a bug, she can make the most delicious beverages ever known to mankind. Not even the Royal Mecha Academy canteen has such potions.

He adjusted to a more comfortable position.

"Hey, wake up. It's time for the ability assessment."

"5 more minutes, Mom."

The other party became silent for a moment. Then, someone knocked mercilessly on his head.

Ouch! IT HURTS.

Alex wanted to curse. He slowly opened his bleary eyes and looked at the assaulter with a frown.

"I lend you my shoulder to sleep, and now you are frowning at me? Is this how the second young master treats others? Just use others then, throw away?" Noel wispered.

Alex took a minute to adjust his brain. After realizing what happened, Alex felt his ears heating up. How embarrassing?

Did he fall asleep on Noel's shoulder like that?

"You even drooled on my shoulder. Ew." the other feigned disgust while pointing to the wet patch on the robe before showing a heartbroken expression. "How pitiful are the lives of common people? We are used as stepping stones by nobles, then cast aside like trash." He exhaled deeply.

Alex's eyebrows twitched. Why didn't he know how much of a drama queen his protagonist can be? He felt enlightened.

Bro, why don't you go and audition for a movie?

Oh! He forgot. They don't have movies in this era. Maybe try for stage performances?

Suddenly, the surroundings became quiet again. Noel stopped his theatrics and explained, "They are checking our magical aptitudes."

"oh"

"Just go and put a hand on that globe. It will change colors according to your magical roots."

"Oh?"

"Yeah. See, The Globe turned green. So, she has healing abilities. See that guy. Orange means fire roots. Such a rare root. He will be famous for sure."

Noel continued to mutter, leaning towards Alex. He had to admit the protagonist really has excellent communication skills. If not for the fact that he has plans to keep his distance from Noel until the main plots unfold, they really might make a good pair of friends.

Such a pity!

But He prefers fewer problems. Who knows when he might accidentally provoke this madman?

The globe placed on the stage was huge enough, therefore everyone in the auditorium was able to see the displayed magic root and talent results. Color represented the magical roots, like healing magic, water magic, and wood magic, while brightness showed the level of talent. The higher the talents, the higher the magic rank they can achieve. The most common roots were water, earth, and wood. Those magicians were responsible for community job moderation. Metal and mental attack abilities ruled the battlefields, while healers were essential to both community and military fields.

Fire was another ability that could rule over military and weapon industries. However, it was considerably less common than the metal ability. There are also rarer abilities, such as wind, thunder, mind control, and ice, which emerge only once every hundred years.

He recalled the original owner's ability. A High-level fire root. As an important villain who can later damage the protagonist to a dangerous extent, he had to have a mindblowing ability and talent. This also clashes with the protagonist's wind and ice abilities.

There are about 25 more students before him and Noel. A Blue-robed teacher guided them to the ability testing queue. Alex glanced at students at the podium absentmindedly.

"Meesha Simpson" "Mid-level water ability."

"Shahezam Ameer" "High-level Metal ability"

"Xie Zixin" "High-level healing ability"

"Mary Archibold" "Low-level Mind attack ability"

"Mind attack abilities aren't as cool as they sound. The pressure it has on the attacker's mind is not small. Many of them usually die young. Poor girl." Noel wispered. Alex nodded with sympathy.

"Leesa Welsh" "Mid-mid level water ability."

"Treesha Lester" "High-level healing ability"

The whole auditorium burst into a commotion. High-level healer is not a simple matter like other high-level users. However, as the author Alex knew about her real ability.

A high-level mind controller and mid-level healing ability user. The yellow color of mind control blends in seamlessly with the green, showing an illusion of a high-level healer. This blending magic is usually impossible for a newbie so no one suspected anything regarding her talent.

Seems like her vicious plan was started even before starting her academic year.

Alex frowned. How did she know about the blending magic? Who knows how these plotholes were mended by world consciousness? Bad premonition arose in Alex's heart. Will he fall into these plotholes and die before saving this doomed storyline?

Meanwhile, he missed the gleam of hatred flashed in Noel's eyes as the heroine walked past them.
