As soon as I got off work, I went to a moving company and bought boxes and a U-haul truck. I parked it around the corner from my house.
When I got home that day, I taught my family everything they needed to know about my father's care. Then, they left to go out to dinner without me. I spent the evening packing and loading my shit up and taking it to my storage unit.
By the time my mother returned home at ten at night, I was finished and about to take a hot shower and go to bed. She demanded I take down my social media posts, or they would sue for slander. I refused and tried to go to my bedroom and lock the door. However, she started cussing me out and calling me ungrateful. I tried to walk away, but she blocked my way and hit me. I was forced to call the police in order to take my handbag, overnight bag and suitcase to get out of the house. I really didn't want to fight my own mother.
My mother threw bleach on me and the police for aiding me with leaving her home and taking my side. She was arrested.
I went to a hotel for the night and took a shower. Thinking things would look better after a good night's sleep.
Nevertheless, that night before I went to sleep, I called my girl, Claire, and told her what had happened. She was livid. Claire made me promise to never go back to that house and let them figure out the care for my father on their own. Since they didn't respect or appreciate me at all.
Lastly, Claire promised to help me obtain a good lawyer in the morning to assist me with obtaining restraining orders for all of them.
Claire wanted me to quit my job immediately. She wanted me to relocate to California to be with her, but I wanted to finish the school year at least. Besides, I wanted more money in my savings account before I moved across the country. I didn't want to be a burden to my best friend financially. My pride would never allow that.
The next morning, when I pulled up at my job, guess who was waiting for me?
Jared and he begged me to wait five years for him. Then, in an attempt to convince me to wait, he pulled out the deed to a home that I had once shown him that I had always loved and dreamed about living in. Once, we had driven by and the owner was outside and Jared had stopped. Jared convinced the owner to give us a tour on the spot. Jared had left his information with him in case he ever wanted to sell the home.
Located in the Northwest area, Chestnut Hill is in Philadelphia's Garden District and home to charming brick Victorian townhouses and gorgeous architectural Historic Mansions. Chestnut Hill has historically been one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Philadelphia. The house is more like a small historic mansion on a dead-end street with the end lot giving lots of acreage.
He brought the house as a gift to me and a peace offering. So that we can still be together. He claimed to love me and not her. I laughed in his face. It seems his grandparents and parents had a DNA test done, and it's indeed his baby. They are trying to force Keisha to marry him before the baby is born for a total of five years. Enabling his unborn child to have access to their trust fund. His family has taken certain precautions to ensure that a bastard will never be allowed to inherit a thing.
Furthermore, his unborn child stands to gain a trust fund worth 5 million dollars.
In addition, Keisha, if she stays out of trouble and doesn't commit adultery, will walk away in five years with 2.5 million dollars. As long as she doesn't contest the divorce and agrees to hand over full custody to Jared.
He wants me to wait for him and marry him after his divorce becomes final with my cousin. Then, play happy stepmother to their child. I told him that he was delusional and to leave me alone. I didn't want any part of him or his drama. I had no intentions of waiting for him. Or ever playing house with him and his demon spawn.
However, I wish I could be a gold digger and not care about other people and get my damn dream home. Nevertheless, I am not built like that. I wish I was. I think life would be so much easier for me. I know Claire would be happier.
He looked hurt and defeated. Then, he quickly jumped in his car and drove away.
That day, I received numerous threatening text messages from my family. On my lunch break, my sister Tiffany and my brother showed up to my job to create a scene. They were escorted off school property. My supervisor asked me if I would consider transferring to a new school to end-out this school year and I told her I would.
Luckily, Claire had arranged for me to meet with a family and criminal attorney after work. I met with my new attorney, David Rosen, in his upscale private law firm in downtown Philly. Seems he owes a favor to one of Claire's uncles, so he agreed to assist me pro bono.
After two weeks of being harassed by my family members and my cousin, Keisha's friends from various different numbers. I was granted a restraining order on my whole family. It seems that Keisha was mad that I wasn't acting heartbroken and devastated as she hoped I would act. The rest of my family was pissed that I was standing up to them finally.
In addition, I heard through the family grapevine that Keisha got drunk one night because Jared had been refusing to sleep with her again. She sought comfort in the arms of one of his frat brothers and had sex with him in Jared's apartment. Things got a little freaky, and they attempted to engage in anal sex and used some lube inside his nightstand and somehow got stuck together.
They were forced to call an ambulance and were rushed to the hospital. Somehow, Jared and his parents found out and were mortified. Keisha's parents immediately went into damage control. They had Keisha sign the prenup and stop fighting it.
They were separated, but not without causing alot of physical discomfort. No harm was caused to the unborn child. Keisha was just not able to sit properly for a few weeks. The poor frat brother has damaged skin in that private area and will need to get his bandages often changed to reduce any possible infections from occurring.
Claire and I had a good laugh at their expense. Plus, I heard Jared and his entire family spoke so highly about me and my good moral compass that my family was livid. They went on and on about how I would never bring such shame to their door.
