Snow was looking petrified staring straight into the car that just moved past her. She completely lost track of the fact that the traffic had already been dispersed.
Honking from the other cars brought her back to reality and then she moved her car to the side of the road where the parking was legal.
She quickly reached for her phone which was in her bag. The other line of the call was still ringing but it wasn't answered.
She tried for almost so many times until finally it was picked.
"Hello!! This is High court prison cell, What can I do for you." The other voice spoke softly, it seem feminine but right now as critical as it was right now for her age didn't care.
"This is Miss Snow Ellis. I want to check if a bail has been granted out already for a man named Mr Bryan Smith." She tried as much as possible to hide her fears but any dumb person could notice it.
"Please, Calm down, Ms Ellis. I'm sorry but we don't give out such information randomly." The voice begged but Snow only wished he could understand that it was a game of life and death to her right now.
"Wait_ You don't understand..." She got interrupted by the woman who only kept on repeating the same words of how they can't give her such information.
Out of frustration she ended the call. She only kept on panicking and panting. She managed her drive her way back to the campus and she got into her suite only to lay flat on the ground with so much fear within her.
The walls seemed to be closing in and her current life seemed to be hanging on a thread. She totally lost track of time and spent trying to make herself let go of the cold shell and forgot who made her that way.
Her past suddenly started resurfacing and it was running fresh on her mind which sent cold down her spine immediately.

{FLASHBACK} 12 YEARS OLD
~ELLIS HOME- 6PM
Snow has just returned home from the playground only to find her mom and dad arguing about something and they didn't seem to notice that their daughter was there.
"You won't take my daughter anywhere." Mr Ellis spoke staring at his wife who was busy packing some clothes in her room.
The door was slightly closed so Snow could see through everything clearly. Why was her mom packing up her luggages? Were they heading somewhere... Without Dad??
"I'm neither gonna leave this house without my daughter not stay here with you, so your choice." She shouted but still folding the clothes and stuffing them in the box.
"Ella, Don't do this. Don't make things difficult for her. She's just a kid. I get the fact that you don't want to keep our marriage any longer but please Snow's just a kid. She needs both of our care and attention not a divided one." Mr Ellis tried to reason with his wife but it seems like they all fell on deaf ears.
"Don't you dare!! Try to make it sound like my fault. It was all your fault. I dud everything I could as a good wife to keep this damn relationship which yielded nothing but moments of regrets." Her mother turned to her dad and spoke angrily.
"You are right it was my fault that this marriage turned out this way, but for the fact that we had Snow, let's not do this." Mr Ellis went closer to his wife but she only pushed him back with her words.
"That was the mistake. 'SNOW' She had kept me in this so called damn marriage. If only I didn't have her at all then this whole sh!t won't had come this far." She pointed her fingers to his face and then went back to packing snow's clothes.
"Then why him?? Why are you taking my daughter to another man to father." Mr Ellis seemed to still plead with his wife but she wasn't ready to listen.
"I don't wanna, hear any of it. My daughter foes wherever I go and that's a fact." She pointed out to her husband.
"What are we even talking about?? This marriage ended a long time ago. Don't you remember?? You divorced me a long time ago and we have just been tolerating each other in this house cause of Snow when deep down we both irritate ourselves..." She was interrupted by Snow whom just suddenly closed the door and walked away from there.
They both noticed it and then her father quickly ran after her calling out her name.
SNOW!!
SNOW!!!

{END OF FLASHBACK}
SNOW!!
SNOW!!!
SNOW!!!!
A voice kept on calling and then she realized it was reality and that her phone was ringing and she had picked the call but said nothing while she was lost in her thoughts.
She heaved long sigh and stood up. She coughed slightly before placing the phone on her ear. "Hello." She managed to speak before the voice spoke once more.
"Yo!! Are you there, Snow??" It sounded like Violet's voice and it was her. "Yeah. Do you need anything??" Snow asked after she stood to her feet.
"Nothing for me, but Minnie said she needed you to help her get something from her room." Violet told her and then Snow nodded while saying okay, she would get it.
"Are you okay??" Violet asked her even though she didn't want to but she felt like Snow was worried about something from the way she spoke.
"Yes!! Of course. I should get ready for class now. It's almost 9am, pretty sure, Minnie would had gone to the surgery room." Snow took her steps back to her room and started taking off her clothes to go get into the shower.
"Okay. Well then see you later." Violet said on the other end and then disconnected the call.
Snow was still petrified even while she was in the bathroom. The water ran all over her body but still didn't help warm up the cold sensation that overwhelmed her.
She kept still just closing her eyes and memories kept on showcasing. Age could hear her dad calling her back that night.
