CHAPTER NINE: YOU AND I NO MORE FEAR

Coming over to your home in two days.

Tony wasn't satisfied with the time I gave to him, so he pleaded:

"Really, why not come over tomorrow? two days time is too far honey because I have really missed you", 

"I want to hold you again in my arms, I have missed your face, your smiles, your kiss baby I have missed everything about you." 

"Babe, you know I have just been discharged from the hospital this morning, so I need some rest" I reminded Tony politely.

"Oh damn. That's true. I'm sorry babe, please pardon my manners" he apologized 

I laughed at his desperation to see me .... "Alright, see you then in two days. I love you"

"Good night"

"No babe, I love you more, good night too".

As I ended the call I went to my bathroom, in the shower and I took a warm bath because the weather is icy-cold.

After the shower, I went to my bed meditating on the conversation I had with Tony on the phone earlier. 

" Hmmm, I just wish I could go to him tomorrow,... but no, I have to take a rest first" 

"It is said that health is wealth. Anyways, two days is just around the corner. So, it's just a matter of time". I advised myself as I lay on my bed hugging my pillows waiting to fall asleep.

Wow! It's 1:45 am when I woke up in the middle of the night looking at my wall clock which is positioned on my wall opposite to my bed. 

In a few hours I will be up from this bed in preparation to meet with my man, I silently thought. 

But before then, I'd have to get one among my favorite dresses ready so I wouldn't delay leaving the house early, 

I gladly thought as I made my way to my wardrobe.

Wow! This pink top on a black jean trouser will fit in well. I didn't find it difficult to select which shoe I will wear since I have a multi-color hill shoe which Anthony sent to me through Norrison as a Christmas gift.

"This is a perfect match to my dress" I giggled .

I saddled on my bed anxiously as I waited for six am so I could rush and finish up my chores before going out.

 "Oh no, I have to take a little more rest as the doctor advised". I lied down imagining beautiful moments Tony and I would share together when I got to his house before I unknowingly slept off.

" Oh my gosh! It's seven am already, damn it. I woke up less than expected . I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and took a shower. 

I don't have to leave my room dirty and unkept. So quickly dressed the bed, put everything in order and swept the dirt off the floor. 

"Hi Tina, good morning, what are you doing this early?" mum stepped into my room while still sweeping.

"Hey mum, good morning, I ran towards her for a hug while dropping down the sweeping brush in my hands. I'm fine mum.. I'm just trying to tidy up the room before I can step out"

"Where are you going, my little angel? You never told me about it." Mum drew closer with a light smile on her face.

"Okay mum, I will tell you,… I want to go see Tony in his house. You know it's been such a long time since we last saw each other, and I can't wait to inform him of big brother's decision on our relationship". I excitedly said to mum with a shy look on my face .

"In that case, you have to eat your breakfast and start going as soon as possible so you can be back in no time and have a rest. You know you are still recovering and doctor has instructed you have a good rest" 

"Try coming back early dear cause late return might upset Kennedy and we wouldn't want that to happen please".

" Yes mum, you are absolutely correct. I don't want to take big brother's kindness for a fool. I will have my breakfast in Tony's house, for now I have no appetite to eat anything. Thank you mum"

"Settled".

 Mum said while she walked closer to the bed at the sight of black jeans and pink top I had earlier sorted out to wear.

"That's the dress I want to put on mum, is it beautiful? …And do you think this will get Tony attracted?" I curiously asked mum.

" Yes, but why not a white jean? It will be more beautiful and that will make you look more of an angel than you are." Yes! a pink top on a white jean and a multicolored shoe with a touch of pink too", 

she suggested while smiling at me trying to make me see the beauty of the combination. .

"Yes mum!. 

That's a great idea. How did you know so much about dressing? You know, I used to think you must be old fashioned and until now did I understand that my mum must have gained her way into my dad's heart with her fabulous dressing and fashion sense". Hahahaha. We laughed together .

" Yeah, you are right.

You know, back then, there use to be this girl Georgina by name" 

She was betrothed to your late father, and she is quite beautiful.

But on the day I got admitted to high school I became the center of attraction for almost all the young men in my school, and that includes your late father. She smiled 

"I used to have the same figure as you but I was slimmer and darker in complexion. So, whenever it's a summer lesson we are all allowed to come to school with our casual clothing.

I had the best fashion style and your dad always complimented me whenever he saw me. 

"Hi fashion baby" that, he always calls me. 

Suddenly I started developing feelings for him too, because he always makes me feel so special as other guys will just gaze at me without uttering a word of compliment.

"He must be a real man and romantic too". I concluded within myself.

"So, during the secondary school final exams, he finally approached me with his hidden feelings and intentions and I …." she caught off the story suddenly when she looked at the wall clock

"Oh my Dear, look at the time it's 9:45am already.

 Hurry up and get dressed, you have to start going now, mum said tapping my shoulder as she headed to the door and took her leave .
