CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWO

Damon's POV

"I'll draw you a bath," I said.

I walked to the bathroom and turned on the water. She'd scared me, more than she realized. Holding her in my arms when she collapsed felt like she was slipping away from me.

I was terrified that something horrible would happen to her and mortified by Tara's insistence not to call my doctor.

Ivy collapsed and yet her sister didn't want her to be treated, it didn't make any sense.

I checked the water to see if it was warm enough. Ivy preferred cold baths but her body needed warm water. I nodded in satisfaction and reached for the soap bottle.

I poured in a little and placed it back. I rubbed the foam on my pants and stood up.

My hands paused on the knob when I heard Tara's voice in the room.

"Maybe tying you up wasn't such a bad idea after all, Mia."

I froze, my body going still.

Mia.
