Chapter 3 : Escort Nicholas
As Alex observed the guy in his opposite seat in the cafe, he blurted out "Crown Prince Leo"
That Guy was startled momentarily before saying, "Yeah Sir, heard of the Crown Prince Leo's assassination. He died so young. Such a tragic death"
Alex was little surprised to hear the person holding the Old cat say that.
Alex thought, 'why did I think he was the Crown Prince Leo? Did I miss him too much? But my guts can't be wrong. I need to observe him'
Alex took the kitten into his hands before asking him, "Who are you? What do you do for the living?"
The Guy was stroking the Old cat answered, "I am Nicholas. I am an escort"
Alex stroked his chin before inquiring again, "You are an escort?"
Nicholas nodded his head, "Yes, I am an escort and I charge dinar per hour"
Alex, "Dinar per hour? Are you a foreigner?"
Nicholas, "I just said that so that it would rhyme. Yeah but I charge people money to be an escort."
Alex had doubts in his heart but he didn't want to believe him, "So, you are an escort huh? Do you work all by yourself or do you have some organisation you work for?"
Nicholas moved his lips in annoyance before saying "we are a small group of people who provide escort service. I don't work by myself"
Alex, "oh is it? Say, if I want to hire you, would you accept it?"
Nicholas shook his head, "No, currently I am busy"
The Cat in the Nicholas hand was annoyed by its separation from the kitten and jumped into Alex's hands.
Nicholas was even more frustrated.
Alex took both the cats into his hands while looking at the Nicholas, "Seems both the cats don't want to be separated. You don't mind if I take them both with me right?
If you want, I can hire you sometimes so that you can see your cat. I am Duke's only Son. No need to worry about money or how cats are doing."
Alex hurriedly said as he didn't want to let Nicholas off.
Nicholas pouted his face in anger before agreeing with hesitation, "Alright, since you are a noble, I hope you will hire me."
Nicholas didn't want to get separated from the cat as he took care of it for sometime.
Alex, "Alright. Since you are busy now, you can come to the Royal Academy that will start in few days. I can take two servants with me and other one can be you.
In the meantime, you can inform your clients that you will be serving me."
Nicholas thought, 'Inform my clients, my foot.'
Nicholas didn't reject his suggestion and agreed. He was handed a bag of coins before Alex left with the two cats in his arms out of the cafe.
Nicholas was dejected that he was treated like this as he saw Alex take two cats in a tow.
Nicholas held the bag of coins and left the cafe dejectedly.
As Nicholas went into the side of the street, he was surrounded by a group of people who were eyeing the bag of coins in his possession.
The leader of the group, who is a big buffed guy stood out and exclaimed, "hand over the bag of coins, otherwise we will kill you"
Nicholas let out a frustrated huff, " Everywhere I go, people like you are always there. You guys better leave me before I beat you all unrecognisable."
The leader of the group sneered before confronting Nicholas, " Woah, we are so afraid. Do you think we would listen to you? You are only one while we are five."
Nicholas said unhurriedly, "Why do you have to rob people? Isn't better to mind your own business? This is the last warning, leave me alone."
The leader of the group harrumphed, "Blame yourself for having money in your hands. It is only natural that you will be robbed"
Nicholas stuffed the bag coins in the pocket of his jacket, "You guys better leave before I hand over you to the Authorities."
The leader was annoyed and ordered, "Guys beat him up and grab his bag"
The group of people lunged at the Nicholas at Once.
Nicholas stretched his legs before beating them up badly.
The five people lay on the ground unconsciously without knowing what had happened to them.
Soon, a group of three Knights caught the robbers before reaching the person who beat them Up, "Your Highness Leo, are you injured? Who are these unconscious people?"
