Chapter 2 : Alex's Sadness

Alex was devastated to know that Leo was assassinated.

He was shocked and couldn't digest the news for a long time. His blood boiled more and more as he thought about the incident.

He was eagerly waiting to meet him only to hear news that the person he longed to meet was dead.

He swore that he would kill whoever attempted the assassination.

He didn't bother interacting with other students and went back to his home in the same carriage.

The kitten in his hand was worried as it's owner is acting abnormal. Alex wasn't like how he was in the morning.

The kitten was afraid and started meowing due to fear.

Alex consoled the kitten, "ssh, it's ok. You will be fine. I am here."

Alex couldn't hold his tears anymore and started crying.

He cried like he never had before in his life.

He was sobbing real hard while holding the kitten in his arms close to him.

When he returned to the Duke's mansion, Duke Cairos was worried as he saw his son eyes red and puffy.

Duke Cairos hugged Alex and consoled him, "It's ok Alex. I didn't know you liked the crown prince this much."

Alex started crying again " Daddy, I couldn't even get to meet him. Hicc. Hicc. "

Duke Cairos, " I would have let you both meet before even if Crown Prince objected to meeting you. It is sad, Son. Take a break and rest."

Alex was enraged, " I am gonna kill those bastards who attempted to kill the Crown Prince"

Cairos, "Listen Alex, don't keep these things in the mind. I will make sure to punish whoever is involved in this Assassination"

Alex wiped his tears with his sleeve of his coat and returned to his room.

He shut himself in his room and didn't come out.

Butler Simon knocked on his door with the food tray in the evening as Alex skipped the Lunch.

Alex didn't respond.

Simon couldn't bear Alex being like this and entered the room, "Pardon me Master, I am worried."

He saw Alex lay on his back, asleep, with his head hanging off the edge of the bed.

Simon saw Alex staring blankly into the ceiling.

Alex only reacted after he saw Simon in his vision. He saw that he had food tray with him. He grumbled, "I don't want to eat food."

Simon pushed the food tray near Alex, "Master, currently Duke is working on investigation of the Crown Prince assassination. If you worry him, you will only delay the investigation.

Didn't you want to avenge Crown Prince Leo? Please eat this food."

Alex nodded absentmindedly and took the food tray to eat the food.

3 days passed like this with Alex cooped up in his room.

Maid Danna suggested Alex take a walk outside with the kitten and roam. She also reminded him that the Academy will be opening in few more days and he needs to get used to moving around.

Alex didn't object and walked with the kitten. He had few knights as his bodyguards.

He didn't know where to go. He just roamed around.

After sometime, the kitten meowed as if complaining about food.

Alex took the kitten to a cafe to get it some food.

He entered the cafe and sat together with the kitten. He ordered few items to feed the kitten.

Alex relaxed his mood as he fed the kitten some food.

Kitten ate the food happily.

Then came a old cat which approached the kitten. Kitten jumped into it's arms.

Both the cats cuddled each other.

Alex thought it might be the mother cat.

He saw someone enter the cafe while calling out the name Snowy.

At the entrance, there was a handsome guy with Black hair and black eyes which seemed like black hole.

Alex was lost in his looks. He thought that he was gorgeous.

The new guy approached Alex and sat in the opposite seat of the table while he petted the old cat on its head.
