Chapter 36: His True Identity!

Yaoyao's face turned beet red with anger. "What exactly are you trying to do?! Don't you realize how embarrassing that just was?"

"Tch. You're so flat, and you're not embarrassed about that—so what's a little scene gonna hurt?"

"You—!" That jerk! He always knew how to hit where it hurt the most. Furious, she clenched her small fists, ready to swing at him.

Long Qi dodged effortlessly. "Heh, turns out you're not just the Flat-Chested Princess, but your reflexes suck too."

"Say that again?!"

"I can say it a hundred times. You're just a Flat-Chested Princess!" he teased, pulling a face before darting off.

Enraged, Yaoyao chased after him. "Get back here, you jerk!"

The two of them had turned the entire corporate office into a school hallway chase scene. To be fair, their behavior really was more fitting for high schoolers.

In the middle of the chase, Long Qi flung open a door and dashed inside. Yaoyao, close behind, rushed in too. But the moment she stepped through the doorway…

She froze, her expression stunned. Where… is this?!

She was now standing inside a large, luxuriously furnished office. A bead of cold sweat dripped down her temple. Sitting on the sofa was Long Qi, now wearing an utterly serious expression—as if nothing had just happened.

Her gaze slowly moved further into the room—there, seated in a large executive chair, was a man with stunningly handsome features. His sharp eyes shimmered with a mesmerizing gleam, like you could fall into them if you weren't careful. But what was even more striking was his aura: a strange blend of tender gentleness and powerful dominance. Like fire and ice in one breath—it made you want to get close to his warmth, but something in his imposing presence kept you at bay.

This man sitting in the chair… wait—wasn't he the PR Department Manager, Long Ye? Yes! It was him. But unlike their first encounter, he now carried a far more mature, commanding air.

"Have you two had enough of fooling around out there?" Long Ye's voice was calm, but carried unmistakable weight.

Long Qi shrugged innocently from the sofa. "It wasn't me—she's the one causing a scene."

"What?! You were the one making fun of me nonstop!"

"Come on, Flat-Chested Princess—at least be honest. You threw the first punch, didn't you?"

"If you hadn't provoked me, why would I have hit you?!"

"Enough!" Long Ye slammed the desk, clearly running out of patience. "Do you think this is a school playground? I don't have time to babysit you both. Long Qi—if you keep this up, you can get the hell out."

"Tch." Long Qi rolled his eyes but didn't talk back—clearly used to being scolded by his brother.

Yaoyao stood stiffly by the door, now completely silent.

Phew… Long Ye let out a sigh, clearly frustrated. What's Aotian thinking—wasting his time with a little girl like this?

"Hey, Little Loli. Come here," Long Ye suddenly softened his voice, catching Yaoyao off guard.

"W-What do you want?" she asked warily.

"Heh, relax. I'm not asking for your 'special services' this time."

Is he being serious? But now that she was no longer a Bosson employee, he technically had no reason to bully her, right? She slowly walked over to his desk.

Long Ye gave her a once-over, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "I heard you were fired?"

"Yeah."

"Then would you like to join our PR department?"

Pfft. Before Yaoyao could even respond, Long Qi burst into a snicker from the sofa, trying to stifle his laughter.

"Thanks for the offer, Manager Long, but I'm not interested."

"Oh? Is it because…" Long Ye slowly stood up and leaned in closer, his voice suddenly gentle, "You're afraid of me—the pervert manager?"

"Uh?" Did Long Qi tell him about that incident?! Yaoyao shot a death glare at Long Qi across the room.

"No, Manager Long. Let's not bring up the past. Anyway, I'm just not interested in the PR department."

"Oh, I was just joking." Long Ye sat back down, face turning serious again as he clapped his hands. "Come in."

"Manager Zhang?" Yaoyao's jaw dropped as she saw who entered.

"Manager Zhang, I assume you know what you're here to say?" Long Ye narrowed his eyes coldly.

Manager Zhang quickly nodded, forcing an awkward smile. "I'm sorry, Luo Yaoyao… I know I was wrong before. Please forgive me. I swear it won't happen again—it was all my fault. I was being a jerk, I'm sorry, please forgive me."

What the heck is going on? Yaoyao thought. Why does it feel like Manager Zhang is scared of Manager Long? Aren't they on the same level?

"You can go now, Manager Zhang."

"Yes… President."

"President?!" Did she hear that right? Manager Zhang just called him… President?

"You're the president of Bosson? I thought you were just the PR manager?"

"Little Loli, who I am doesn't matter. Just don't call me a pervert again, alright? I'm really not interested in little girls like you. Anyway, you're staying at Bosson."

"Wait—but I've already been fired."

"Heh, I think I still have the authority to keep an elevator girl around."

But—

Yaoyao's eyes gleamed with mischief. "And what if I don't want to come back?"

She'd just escaped Yu Aotian's grasp—why would she willingly throw herself back in again? She wasn't that dumb.

"You don't want to come back?" Long Ye smiled faintly, resting his chin on his palm. "Then guess what—do you think Aotian will pay a little visit to your home?"

This guy is a smiling tiger, she thought. His tone was so soft, yet it carried a deadly threat. "But didn't he say he'd only hurt my family if I quit? I was fired—he has no reason now."

"Well, well… turns out you've got a pretty sharp tongue for a little Loli."

Of course I do. They clearly don't know who they're dealing with.

"Forget yesterday, I want to love you while you're in front of me—please give me a chance…"

"Hold on, President Long, I need to take this call."

"Hmm?" Before he could respond, she was already answering her phone. Probably only she would dare leave the company president hanging to take a personal call.

"Hello?" Her expression immediately darkened. "What? Got it. I'm coming."

She hung up and turned back to Long Ye with renewed determination. "President, I'll come back to work. But starting tomorrow—is that okay?"

"Hm? Sure."

"Great. I'm off then." Before either Long Ye or Long Qi could react, she was already out the door.

As she left, her eyes flicked toward the sign on the door…

The words President's Office gleamed boldly before her eyes.

So he really was the president. Looks like she'd been played by Yu Aotian yet again…
