A Puzzle she will love to solve.

After the recent attempt on king Judrith's life, the palace security has been tightened the more.

More able-bodied guards assigned to guard the palace.

Also investigations has been going on as the king thought the intruder resides there in the palace.

General Jade has been going around trying to catch the culprit. But it seems he is no where to be found.

He left no hint leading to him, the assailant really did a nice perfect job covering his tracks well.

Every guard and men within the palace walls was interrogated and checked for any sort of injury, but it was all futile.

Maybe the king's assumption was wrong, maybe the intruder is not near them talk less of him residing in the palace.

That definitely will be a suicide mission for him.

With head bowed he spoke calmly,

" I tried my King. But it doesn't seems the assassin is here in the palace. None of the palace guards seems suspicious or has such injury inflicted on their shoulder. "

He gritted his teeth, fuming in anger. For the past days now he has been fantasizing on how he will toture the son of a bitch that dared try to annihilate his life.

He was going to butcher his body and throw his remains to the dog to feed on.

Only heavens know how much he had in store for him. He was planning on finding out who put him up to it .

" What do you think should be done Jade,? I really want to kill that rascal! " he snarled, his breathing uneven and erratic due to the immense anger he bored in his stomach.

" I think we should broaden our investigation my king, who do you think could do that? Someone who will love to have what you possess",

His mind wandered off a but, trying to think of any person in particular.

" Or someone whom you have never been on peace with.", Jade added.

" Adrik ", he blurted after giving it some thought

Who is Adrik again?

" King Adrik of momhana.. That bastard will do anything to be as powerful as I am ",

Momhana? That is one of the most powerful kingdom of all seven kingdoms.

You can always say BADRITH is the first as they have conquered and step on several other kingdoms and lands.

Then kingdom of momhana, it was rumoured of how much ruthless and power drunk the king is.

Someone like Judrith.

Maybe that is the sole reason they are always on each other's hair.

BADRITH and Momhana has never been in peace for several years now, but neither of them will dare not attack the other.

" Anyone else? my king", he asked.

" The prime minister, Salvador. I know he has kept a malice as I refuse to marry the princess to his only son. ",

" We can always keep an eye on the both of them. I will send one of my men to momhana as a spy into the palace.

Likewise the prime minister as well, I will keep an eye on them. We need to know every of their move.", jade said.

For some reasons, the king felt a huge surge of relief and reassurance spread widely through his body.

The heavens bless the day he knew Jade.

" I will trust you on that then. I know you can never let me down. *,

" Thank you for your grace your majesty ", he appreciated, bowing his head respectfully.

" I will definitely compensate you after all of this. Just make sure to get it done", .

" I will. "

" You are dismissed ", he said dismissively with a wave.

Bowing his head for the last time, he walked out of the king's quarters.

As he walked down the hallway, he ran into princess Sabrina coming towards the king's quarters.

Behind her is her maid, Nina. Who had a tray of covered bowls with her .

They are definitely taking it to the king.

"Greetings Princess", he stopped on his track, bowed his head in greeting.

" Greetings. ", She responded.

And instead of her to leave, she didn't.

" Is father in his chambers?, She asked.

" Yes your highness ", he replied with a bow.

His stance rigid and intimidating, but it didn't bulge the princess a bit.

How can a man be so so cold? Never for once has she seen any sort of expression or emotions on his face.

" I know you have been working hard in catching the culprit,I wish you the best. And I hope you catch him soon, for the palace can be rest assured. ", She spoke fluently and confidently.

Her stance straight and regal, giving off the royalty she is.

How enchanting she is.

" Understood my lady", he replied, Still not bulging

Turning to leave, she stopped at her track again.

" You should visit the yard this evening as I will love to treat you to a drink. To catch up for the last one ",, she said and seeing he wasn't responding "she added,

" it is an order ",

With that she turned and leave with her maid, this time not looking back.

" Why is my lady curious about General Jade ? ", Nina asked

" Is it that obvious?", Princess Sabrina asked , her lower lips twitching up slightly to a small smile.

" Yes my lady. I can tell"

She slowed her steps more, but didn't stop.

" I don't know", she blurted.

Then small silence.

" Maybe he is a puzzle I will love to solve", she said , then faced Nina.

" Strange right?", She smiled .

Nina returned the smile, " I think he is strange also ",

" You see? ", She joked.

Nina laughed heartily, " But you should be careful my lady, he seems a bit dangerous to me",

Her smile replacing with that of worry.

" I will Nina ", princess Sabrina mumbled.

Truly, he seems dangerous and strange to her as well. But she felt all of it is all a facade.

Maybe deep inside of him, there is that Jade who isn't dangerous.

Maybe, just maybe.
