Synopsis:
Deep in the undersea world of Thal’Zaen, an ancient race called the Or’Kai live to maintain the balance of the ocean. They are descendants of the legendary Orca—humanoid creatures who possess the “Mane of Waves,” a glowing spirit energy that signifies their strength, honor, and connection to the sea.
But one child was born different.
Maneless, an Or’Kai born without a mane, was considered a curse by his own people. He was banished to a dark realm called the Sea Rift, where dead currents and evil spirits dwell. There, he grew up among the shadows, surviving not by strength, but by the will to live—or at least, to prove that he was worthy of living.
When an ancient power called The Abyssal Crown rose and transformed the guardians of the ocean into monsters clad in black manes, the only one who could not be affected was Maneless. For he had nothing to steal.
Aided by Lyra, a sea witch from the surface who bears the sins of her ancestors, Maneless embarked on a journey to discover who he really was. From the ruins of ancient cities to the deepest, most forbidden trenches, they discover the truth: that the absence of a mane is not a weakness—it is a seal.
Now, the Maneless must choose: awaken the power hidden within themselves and sacrifice their souls, or let the seas be swallowed by an unquenchable darkness.
Amidst war, betrayal, and the sparks of love that bloom amid the ruins, one question continues to haunt them: Can a soul without light save a world that is slowly losing its light?
