Outside was chaotic.
An invasion bedlam!
Bombs flew in the air, and Julian, crouching by a corner, found it familiar.
The bombs were oval in shape, colossal-looking, like an egg.
An egg in the sense that whenever it lands on a place when thrown, it seems to crack, and by cracking, it explodes.
Julian gritted his teeth, his helmet on, his face concealed. He decided that he would have to work with the soldiers of Seisymy, so as not to look like a main threat to the Imperium of Archos.
He wouldn't even fight like he had some special powers, he would have to fight like a soldier, a special one, by the way.
He had left the horny empress feeling horny back in the hall. Even with the threat, she had insisted they have sex and that the Seisymy soldiers would take care of it.
He had laughed, to be honest.
How could one be so horny to the extent that she didn't care when impending doom had befallen her planet?
It seemed that she just wanted to have sex with him till they got bombed together.
Well, she had a large ass and wet pussy, but he wouldn't just blindly fuck her when he knew how powerful the Imperium of Archos was.
Hell!
The Imperium of Archos invaded his planet, and without even coming down from their spaceships, literally exploded half the planet.
And the most shocking part—
The remaining soldiers, quite large in number, were killed by just one man. She might not know what she's up against, but well, he knew, and that was why he wasn't taking any chances.
The Imperium's soldiers were extremely brutal in battle, and so he had to be brutal too.
Tiiioooo!
Julian paused, the sound looked familiar.
Whoosh!
He looked up.
A bomb was coming his way!
He dived to the right and…
Boom!
It exploded the building he was leaning, hiding.
The building was literally squished by the bomb and Julian? Well, at this point, it seemed he was destined to die.
He had dived to the right because he thought that the building would either crumble forward, backward, and even if it was to deviate from the ordinary, it should at least fall to the left.
But luck wasn't on his side this time, and before he knew what was happening, it was falling on him.
His senses grasped onto his brain, and at that moment, Julian thought he would be dead or severely injured by the building.
And so in a nostalgic gesture, at least that was what he used to do when he was a child and whenever something wanted to fall on him—
He stretched his hands forward, not to stop the building, as that would be useless. He was certain it would still fall on him and basically rip his bones apart.
While leaning beside the wall, he had noticed that it wasn't made of normal materials like the buildings in Zyros. This was made with something, according to him, that was a fusion of crystal and steel.
And so he stretched his hands forward, not for anything but just out of impulse. It seemed like he was doing so unconsciously, like he didn't even know he was doing the act.
The building fell…
Death?
Flesh being ripped apart?
Bones being squished?
Eyes being jerked out?
Well, none of that happened.
Julian raising his hands upwards had actually saved him.
The building halted in the air, and Julian was shocked, to be honest. He thought he was already dead and this was the afterlife, but after waiting for some seconds, he looked up and saw, to his astonishment, the components of the squished building floating in the air.
He was stunned, and when he moved his hands sideways a bit, they moved with him. He did so again and noticed that they still moved as his hands did.
And then, he remembered he had superpowers?
He closed his eyes and checked his system:
[Gravity Control Lv.1: Manipulates gravity to attract, repel, or stabilize objects and enemies. (Cooldown: 30 seconds)]
He was smiling now.
'What a life-saving power this is,' he thought.
The system didn't state the duration of this gravity control power, but he was sure it did so for the gravity shield. He decided to check:
[Galactic Shield Lv.1: A protective barrier that absorbs damage and protects Julian. (Cooldown: 12 hours)]
It seemed that it didn't show the duration either.
Or perhaps the duration was based on how effectively he used it, he didn't know.
But well, he wouldn't stress himself about that. He was keen on experimenting with this gravity control power and what could trigger it to be activated.
Julian grinned now. With this power, he bet he could take on the soldiers with ease. At this point now, he was ready to rip their bones apart.
Three soldiers from the Archos Imperium were rushing down his way.
Julian looked at them, noting that they wore puzzled expressions on their faces.
'How, how—how did you do that?'
Or
'How are you doing that?'
Julian was sure this was what they were thinking. But then, that wasn't his business.
Death awaits them.
He directed the building pieces in the air toward their direction.
But wait. He didn't do it normally, he did it with so much force he heard their bones literally splitting apart.
He gazed at them with such ferociousness and sauntered up to them, his face not for once (even though it was concealed by the helmet) showing sympathy.
The helmet made his expression more grim and vicious.
Julian walked over to the soldiers to confirm if they were really dead.
He took his time, though, stepping on the dry and parched ground with precision, seemingly walking like he wanted to put terror into the soldiers if they survived.
But then, he quickened his pace.
And why?
Because he saw a soldier trying to crawl away.
Holding him by the leg, Julian asked:
"Why crawl away? Why not simply die like the others?" He didn't know why, but he liked his new demeanor - the ruthless vibe!
The soldier coughed violet blood, and Julian, staring at his alien face, felt that it looked utterly disgusting.
"I have to warn the others. I have to inform them that there's a stronger soldier of the Seisymy fighters who possesses extraordinary powers."
Julian smirked, the helmet still covering his face.
"I'm not from Seisymy, and why bother? Kindly do not stress yourself," he said, his voice viscous.
The soldier was wriggling his legs, trying desperately to get out of Julian's hold.
But before the alien could catch his breath, Julian held him by the head and pressed it so hard—
The eyeballs flew to the ground.
The teeth, the tongue… every damn thing in its body. Violet blood splattering on Julian's face.
Julian didn't give a fuck.
Staring at the dead soldiers and at the others, his frown deepened the more.
The only person he thought of at that moment was:
Luiin.
