Chapter 30

Audrey’s POV

The days were flying by too fast. I was soaking in every second — just not fully present. My time was swallowed up by long calls to the embassy, emails lost in translation, and the endless back-and-forth over Ian’s paperwork. The stress had woven itself into my spine.

Drew, meanwhile, kept my parents busy — taking them out, showing them around, wining and dining them. He even brought them to the studio, wanting them to see his world up close. I think he believed they’d feel more at ease if they understood the rhythm of our lives here. And maybe he was right.
