Chapter 44

Audrey’s POV

Standing beside the massive black tour bus, Ian’s small hand wrapped in mine, I watched his hazel eyes sparkle like stars. He bounced on his toes, fingers pressed to the cold metal like it was a spaceship ready to launch.

“What’s so funny, baby?” I asked, smiling even though my chest felt like it was caving in.

He grinned up at me. “I’m going in one of these one day too, Mommy. Look how beautiful it is.”

I laughed softly, the innocence in his voice swelling my heart until it ached. “So, you wanna be a rockstar too, huh?” I nudged him, brushing a stray curl from his forehead.

“I will be. And you’ll be my… mantiger.”

I snorted. “Manager,” I corrected through a grin.

Before I could tease him more, a familiar voice cut through the moment like a spark.

“What about me?”

We both turned. Drew leaned casually on his suitcase, every inch the rockstar—black leather jacket, wild hair, sunglasses hiding those electric eyes. He belonged here. This was his world.
