Silas breathed in.
He might have been a powerful assassin, but even this body had its limits. That's why he needed to find a physical enhancement rune.
But I can't act weak now!
Silas laughed, grabbing the undead wolf and mounting it.
He exhaled slowly, arms stretched behind him, mimicking Dwayne's technique of using flames to propel himself.
[Warning: Low on Mana]
"Who gives a damn!"
He laughed, preparing his arms, the air surrounding them compressing once more into small spheres in his palms, ready to act like jets.
"Get ready, boy!"
He shouted at his undead mount, adjusting its stance to sprint at the wolf lord.
Dwayne chuckled at Silas, obviously tired but still trying to act tough.
"Quit being a showoff if you know you can't handle it,"
he smirked, before the flames in his hand exploded in a powerful burst.
"Incinerate!"
Dwayne shouted, now flying toward the wolf lord at stupidly high speeds.
He twisted his body as he reached close enough, the flames around his hand halting briefly as he repositioned it—now stretched toward the wolf lord.
His eyes burned bright orange, as if the flames themselves were consuming him.
"Incinerate!"
He shouted once more, his hand now inches from the wolf lord's face as a burst of fire launched from his palm, acting like a hundred flamethrowers at once.
Silas looked on in awe, surprised at how powerful Dwayne already was at this stage of the game.
No wonder the game didn't allow me to fight him early on...
But Silas shook the thought away, steeling his body to replicate what Dwayne had done.
The compressed air on his palms glowed bright orange as well.
Time to make another ability!
"Explosive Jet!"
He shouted, The compressed air behind him flared to life and erupted like chain dynamite, propelling him forward toward the wolf lord and Dwayne.
The grass and ground burned in the explosive trail.
The undead wolf sprinted, using the momentum of the explosion to build its speed—its legs tearing apart, unable to handle the sheer force the chain explosions generated.
Silas stood upright on the wolf's back as it continued to run.
Then, when he was close enough, Silas leapt upward, dismounting the wolf.
The explosive jet in his hands kept him hurtling skyward, towering even over the trees.
High in the sky, he finally saw the wolf lord's true size—almost as big as a tree itself.
No wonder Dwayne used that much firepower!
Silas cackled midair, before shutting off the explosive jet, hanging weightless for a heartbeat.
Squinting, he searched through the torrent of flames covering the wolf lord, looking for an opening.
There! A slight gap!
Bingo!
Silas pointed at the wolf lord's head, his fingers forming into the motion of a flick.
"Like an assassin... one shot."
[Warning: Mana Extremely Low]
"Explosive Railgun!"
He muttered, flicking his fingers.
A powerful burst of compressed air shot forth, crashing into the wolf lord's skull with devastating force—smashing it into the ground and even destroying the earth beneath it.
Dwayne looked up in shock, watching Silas unleash the attack, the force of the blast launching Dwayne backward, cutting off his incineration spell as he tumbled into the dirt.
"Holy... shit..."
He grinned, seeing the wolf lord already dead—its head obliterated by compressed air alone.
But it wasn't even over yet.
The path the projectile traveled detonated in a relentless chain causing deafening shockwaves to tear through the air.
Each explosion further shredded the ground, incinerating the wolf lord's body—something even Dwayne's flames couldn't achieve that quickly.
Above, Silas smiled wide, uttering one final sentence before losing consciousness from mana depletion.
"Hope that...did the trick..."
He muttered, beginning to plummet from the sky at incredible speed—only to be caught midair by a hand formed of compressed air, crafted by three delinquents working together back at the fort.
Dwayne turned back toward the wolf lord's remains—nothing but ash and gore now.
"Who the hell is that bastard...?"
