[EXP: 500]
As Silas was about to be escorted back to the fort by hand, his robe gleamed once more, seemingly reacting to the dead wolf lord.
[Novice Robe of Necromancy Passive Activated: Reanimate]
[Warning: Monster level too high]
[Soul Absorption Activated]
Huh…?
Silas spoke in his mind. He couldn't move his body, and the only thing he could see was darkness.
Seems like I actually did pass out from the mana depletion.
Absorbing…?
[Absorption Complete]
1 Rune Creation +
1 Minion +
5 Boost to Dexterity +
10 Boost to Mana + (Due to high mana usage during battle)
1 Amulet of the Wolf +
Well… at least the rewards are worth it…
Then the rune creation panel appeared, prompting him to make a rune already.
Even when I'm unconscious, powering up never stops, huh…
He chuckled, the oppressive darkness in his mind beginning to lighten.
[Rune Creation]
[Currently Learned]:
Fire Rune (Learned) (C)
Combustion Rune (Created) (A+)
[Lack of consciousness detected. Automate rune creation?]
What…? Of course not—
[Unable to respond to commands]
[Creating optimal rune...]
Damn it… I finally get another use for this SSS ability and I can't even control it…
He chuckled, mumbling to himself before the darkness finally receded, light overtaking his senses, burning his eyes.
Guess that's my cue…
Silas woke up in another unfamiliar room, curtains blocking his view. His entire body was tense, wracked with pain from the stress he'd put himself through.
He stood, opening the curtain—revealing a familiar setting. If it was the same as in the game, this had to be the infirmary.
"The prodigy has awakened."
Dwayne's voice echoed from a couch nearby, legs crossed. Even the infirmary looked regal with him in it.
"You were out for two days, and in that time…"
Dwayne laughed, his voice full of amusement.
"Another horde wiped us all out while you napped. Counselor decided that was punishment enough."
"But come on… she doesn't really believe that, does she?"
Dwayne's voice was full of intrigue as he stood up.
"Anyways, I just came to check up on you—especially since you managed to beat that damn boss with a single shot."
He tossed Silas a letter. The signature in the corner matched the counselor's in-game signature.
"Here. We're finally allowed to go back to class again."
Dwayne headed to the infirmary's exit, his movements lax and carefree.
"Be seeing you around."
He waved, closing the door behind him—leaving Silas alone.
"Didn't even wait for me to speak, huh…?"
Silas laughed, his body still struggling to stay upright.
He looked at his once-bloodied uniform, now clean—as if he hadn't fought at all.
"At least they took care of my clothes."
"That reminds me…"
"Status Screen."
As Silas uttered the words, the familiar interface appeared.

"Looking good, Silas…"
He muttered, running a hand through his hair. The pain in his body eased slightly after investing in Endurance and Mana.
"Now then… for the thing that was bugging me the entire time."
"Rune Creation!"
He called out, eager to see what new rune the system had generated.
I swear to god, if this is something useless I'm gonna break something…

Silas grinned at the sight of the new rune—better than expected for something automated, and fitting for his new class.
"Better than I thought…"
He muttered, closing the status screen and readying himself to return to class.
"I guess going to the counselor's office did kinda help me after all."
He laughed, voice full of amusement.
"Time to take this school by the throat."
