The morning midst spread through out the forest making things hard to see. Eira slowly woke up from her long slumber, her baggy eyes and pale face showed she was seriously ill.
Eira raised her head slightly and was shocked at what she saw. Inside the loggage was a snake sticking it's head outside the bag. The main problem was the loggage was right beside Lola.
'Oh sh*t that is a Black Mamber one bite could kill a grown man in under 30 minutes, I've got to find a way to wake up Lola before something bad happens'. Eira thought.
Luckily for Eira, Lola was awake and was well aware of the snake that was beside her.
She had been hearing an hissing sound all morning and immediatetely thought it was snake so she froze still, making the snake think she was not a threat.
"Miss. Eira, is there a snake at my back?". Lola whispered.
"Yes now shut up and don't move till I tell you to". Eira spoke softly.
Eira studied the snake watching out for it's next move. The snake was initially calm at first but after looking at Eira's bloodlust and hearing the irritated whispering between them the snake closed it's eyes and opened wide it's mouth, Eira knew exactly what it was about to...
Vomit.
That's right when a snake closes it's eyes and opens wide it's mouth it usually means it wants to regurgitate the meal it just ate and flee but sometimes it could also use that means to attack.
Without any thoughts Eira ran over to the snake immediately grab it by its neck right below its head, stopping it from it track and preventing it from attacking.
The snake hissed, its body shaking vigorously sending a smale tremor throughout Eira. She pulled it out of the bag and out of the grassy ground and immediately yelled:
"Lola bring the knife from the bag!".
Lola quickly rummaged through the luggage took out a pocket knife and handed it over to Eira. Eira finally pinned down the snake, took the knife off Lola's hand and gave a clean cut from the neck.
Even though the neck and body was completely severed both parts were still well alive and moving. Eira had to wait for a few minutes before it finally died.
Lola looked at snake's decapitated head in Eira's hand and was really worried.
"Is it finally dread?".
"Yeah, it won't hurt anyone". Eira replied caressing her small head.
Eira gazed at the far distance she still remembered where the location where the flare came from. She decided they would leave right away to prevent wasting of time for the know Caspian could be moving any time soon.
Lola looked at Eira with a frown and said
"Miss. Eira what about those kids".
Eira had totally forgotten about those children. Before the crashing Caspian gave the pastor a parachute, the pastor openly gave it to two children.
"We can't look for them now, my leg is all busted up and you can't go alone we can only hope they made it to the flare and reunite with them later, but for now we got to go the flare". Eira said feeling a little bit worried.

After walking deep trenches of the thick forest for hours. Eira and Lola finally made it to a rather small camp, rather than roast stand with a rabbit hanging on it, tents made of leaves it seemed Caspian and his men had made such a decent camp.
Eira and Lola were greeted by one of Caspian and he lead to where Caspian was.
Eira could see the kids, knowing the made it here safe and sound brought upon a smile on Eira's face but when she turned her gaze to the side, the smile on her face vanished replaced with a face of disgust and anger.
She couldn't bear to see the face of Caspian Grey.
"Eira so good to see you guys made it out the crash alive". Caspian spoke with a calm voice as he approached Eira.
Caspian looked at the Lola, he's ice-cold gaze stare deep into Lola's small eyes. He bent with one kneel and place his hands on her shoulder.
"Am sorry for your loss and I hope you find the strength in you to recover, anyway why don't you meet your friends over there while the grown-ups talk". Caspian wore a deceitful smile as gestured to the place where the kids where.
With Lola out of the way it was time for them to have a conversation. With Caspian starting the convo
"I know you may see as a cruel old man but the truth is that I did what I had to do".
"The truth, you really wanna know the truth well the truth is that you shut a innocent man right in the head". Eira pouted.
"To be fair he did swung a golf club at me first".
"There is nothing just about shooting someone in the head, I mean you could have shot his leg".
"Anyway you need me otherwise you wouldn't be here, now what we need to his establish communication with the locals, this is Owen's forest reserve so that means we are Eastside of Pemberely hill".
Eira could not hold a grudge she knew very well how resourceful and would be a crucial factor to their survival and beside she was terrible at holding grude always forgiving people it was one of her best attributes.
The two talked for hours, formulating plans on how to establish the connection to contact and strategies on how to survive for the first few nights gradually shedding light on their already dim rapport.
Lola rushed over to Eira panting heavily, she came closer to Eira's ear and whispered something. Seeing Eira's eyes widened , Caspian knew it was something not good he couldn't help but to ask:
"What's going on?".
Eira green eyes widened with anxiety.
"The kids, they are missing".
