Lola lead them to a part of the forest and pointed at an odd eerie looking cave. It shape looking like that of a feline's mouth, inside it was total darkness devoid of light even though it was in the blooming morning.
"This is place, Terry and Robert entered that dark cave". Lola spoke
Eira did a face-palm and took a long sigh.
"Why would you go into a dangerous place like this, what were you guys doing in the first place".
Lola explained that the were playing a game of 'tag' and that the two boys wondered off into the cave and that she had stayed behind because she was too scared.
Eira gaze at the cave and had a long thought. She finally came to the conclusion.
"We are going now, the boys maybe still alive". Eira said looking at Caspian for assistance.
Caspian already knew what to do, he called out his men and ordered.
"Men, our main objective is simple; we enter that cave and retrieve the children now we don't know what we can come across so get load and bring in the flashlights cus it's way too dark and creepy in there".
"Yes sir". The men yelled in unison.
Eira was surprised about the loyalty these men had toward to Caspian, however she tried not to think too much about it and focus on main goal.
They enter the with their flaslights on illuminating the dark-moisture walls of the eerie cave. The went on deep into the cave where they a met three pathway.
"When I thought this cave wouldn't get creepier now it's a f*cking maze". Caspian shrugged off his disappointment.
Caspian thought about the current situation and thought:
'if we want to find these kids quick, we need to spread out to cover more ground".
So he ordered each men to go to one of the pathways seeing that they were only three of them while Eira, Lola and him would go to the last one together.
As they venture deeper into the cave, the silence dawned on Caspian and being a multiloquent person,he couldn't help but breaking the silence by starting a harsh conversation.
"Do you think we'll ever find them I mean it's been 3 hours and kids hasn't showed up, one would assume they are already dead".
Eira grunted in annoyance, she had completely forgotten how evil and vile Caspian could be.
"Shut the f*ck up, you know we don't need you or your guys if you want out fine but if you're in you better to believe the kids are alive".
"Seesh I didn't mean to hit a nerve, I was just assuming the worst case scenario".
"Let's say the worst case scenario happened , we can at least find what happened to them".
"It is just one problem after the order but I believe we can solve all of em if we work together". Eira said filled with confidence.
"You look at me like am the evil old man who doesn't give a shit". Caspian gazed at Eira with bitter look in his eyes.
"Killing a man in cold blood if that isn't evil then I don't know what is".
Desperate, angry, depressed and wanting to be forgiven made Caspian go into a psychotic rage pointed his gun at Eira.
"So what if a man made a mistake does that mean he is condemned to damnation". Caspian roared.
Eira raised up her hand in resignation. She tried to calm him down talking to him soothing tone
"It is all okay I know I now understand why and I forgive you all his forgiven, just calm...". Before finishing her statement Eira received a piercing slap across her face by Caspian. The force behind the slap was so great that it sent Eira crashing on the floor just after.
Eira felt an excruciating pain on the left side of her cheek bone, blood slipping from her mouth.
Standing in front of her was Caspian menacing and psychotic look.
"You are only saying such things because you've got a gun pointed up your face now tell me how does it feel to be on the other side of the spectrum".
"Psycho!, leave her alone". Lola voice rang out loud.
Indeed Caspian had a long history of several mental disorder, from bipolar disorder to psychosis. Eira even saw him taking a few medicines testifying to his mental breakdown.
"What did you say girl?". Caspian said with a condescending tone.
A black figure slowly creeped behind Caspian. Coming closer and closer behind the oblivious Caspian. Eira could not believe what she saw, thinking her eyes was playing tricks on her.
An humanoid figure with nothing but a mouth and a long tongue on its face accompanied with sharp thones protruding from it face. Its had only two fingers and deadly sharp claws on each reaching 7 inches long.
Standing 15 foot tall was a creature Eira thought to be from hell. Eira tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out only gasp of fear.
"Uh what are you looking at". Caspian asked turning his head backwards.
Before he could make a complete turn to see what was behind him.
SLASH!.
One slash from the creatures claws was all it took to completely decapitated his head clean off. His head flew away for some seconds before it stumbled to the hard ground.
Lola wanted to scream out her lung but was immediately halted by Eira hand.
The creature wasn't done with its gruesome performance as it opened wide its big maw displaying a rigid set of teeths. It then started to chaw down on the bleeding cervical of the already late Caspian Grey making an irritating sound.
Eira was horrified but looking at the monster made Eira come to the realization that the creature had no.
Eyes.
The reason why it was knew Caspian was there was because of his constant yelling.
Eira pieced to two and two and came to the conclusion that the monster can only track its prey with its ear and if they did not make to much noise they could actually escape the hellish scene without the monster ever knowing and plus now is probably the best time to take action seeing that monster was distracted by its newly procured meal.
Eira held Lola's hand tightly as the two of them quietly reached for the nearest exit site. In the quiet process of fleeing Eira's feet stepped on cracked floor making a loud creaking sound.
Half way into finishing with its meal, the creature heard the sound and immediately ran towards the direction of the sound.
The crack in the ground gave birth to very wide hole which made Eira fall deep into the the unknown ground. Although the monster had reached there it could not get Eira since she had already fallen inside the hole and as for Lola, the hole was too wide so it couldn't reach her. The creature screech made a loud in disappointment.
As Eira was falling to the ground, her life flashed before her eyes similar to what happened in the plane. But this time it was brief, immediately snapping back as soon as landed into the tree bushes.
The tree branches acted as support softening the full extent of having to fall 100m on to the ground while in return she suffered intense injuries like bruises and cuts from thorns and branches and minor sprains and strains from landing and twisting awkwardly.
Eira met the ground softly and could not move a muscle she had suffered too many injuries causing her to black-out completely.
***
Many hours had passed.
Eira slowly woke up from a long slumber waking up to the intense pains from earlier.
She gently stood up so as to not arouse the pain and started to limp to an unknown area.
As she continued limping something finally dawned on her and that was; she was in a forest which was not possible, a forest can grow 100m underground and its not like they were protrusions it felt like it was an whole space underground.
However that didn't surprise Eira not even one bit after witnessing a 20 foot creature ate her boss nothing surprised her anymore.
After a very long time venturing into the unknown Eira finally saw a dim-lighted yellow light coming from the distance.
Eira followed the light and met a small ruin like that of a witches shrine, strange symbols etched on to everything of the ruin from the walls to bricks and even to small stones.
In the center of the ruin was a 10 feet tall door. It wasn't attached to anything and also nothing could been seen behind it, it was just still a big door. The same was etched in ruin was also carved on the center of the door.
Out of curiosity Eira reached out for doorknob but her hand passed right through it. She was taken aback then wondered 'is this some kind of illusion' or 'is this some kind of portal'.
Eira tested her theory she put her hand through the door and notice her hand passed through but wasn't visible at the other side that means Eira was kind of right.
The door was an illusion yes but at the same time it was a portal meant to take you somewhere unknown.
Filled with curiosity Eira allowed herself to be fully immersed in it by walking straight through and what she saw was out of this world well not completely.
At the other side Eira saw something that gave her such an intrigue.
What she saw looked like a library but no, it was far from being a normal library. The extremely tall shelves contained rolls and rolls of books and speaking of book they were books flying around like what you would see in those Harry potter movies.
Amongst all the odd things there one thing stood out the most to Eira. Eira was surprised not to see a single thing written in any of the books Eira picked.
Then all of a sudden Eira heard someone calling her name.
"Eira".
At first Eira dismissed as something her mind would why not after what she been through why wouldn't she think that and plus she was the only one there as far as she know of. However.
"Eira!".
The name called out again but this time much loud than before.
Eira immediately snapped she decided to look for where the voice came from.
The voice took her to an area of library typically the center of the library. There she met a big book 15 inches tall and 25 cm thick. On the book was the usually symbol inscribe on it.
Eira curiosity got the better of her, she place her right hand on the book and immediately Eira was zapped by some kind of energy the force behind it was strong enough to send Eira flying several feet away before hitting the cold floor shortly after she died.
