One drunken night, after lamenting his mundane life, Kitahara jokingly wished he could be a crow – free, even if considered ominous. His strangely capable friend took him way too literally.
Next thing he knows, Kitahara is a crow. Not just any crow, but one with crimson eyes, ridiculously immense chakra, and latent knowledge of ninjutsu popping into his head. Oh, and he's been dropped into the world of Naruto.
His first act? Saving a tiny, cliff-falling Uchiha Itachi.
Now, Kitahara finds himself the unlikely companion – friend? Pet? – of the future prodigy. Navigating life as a bird in Konoha just after the Third Shinobi World War, he gets a front-row seat to Itachi's early genius, his quiet struggles with the ninja world's darkness, and the Uchiha family dynamics.
With hidden knowledge and the power of a ninja beast (if only he could figure out how to use it properly!), Kitahara observes, protects, and maybe, just maybe, influences the path of the boy destined for tragedy. Can a sarcastic human soul trapped in a crow's body change fate? Or is he just along for the ride, trying to activate cool jutsu and maybe snag some dango?
Follow Kitahara as he tries to survive ninja politics, awkward family dinners, and the sheer absurdity of being Uchiha Itachi's surprisingly insightful feathered friend.
Nice fanfic! Question: why can't he speak as a crow? Is it for plot sake to have everything go as it did in the original canon? Because speaking as an animal with chakra is common in naruto
While the writing is fine, if you care about the story making sense, this isn’t the story for you. The crow is just passive and, the few times it acts, literally nothing changes in the plot. Not my type of story. Especially when it doesn’t help change the future of familiar people the crow interacts with daily.
I feel like the actual mc is Itachi and not the silent crow that does absolutely nothing
A really good and wholesome story. The mc is itachi’s crow and watches/helps him grow up. The writing and plot is good so far as well. The only annoying thing is the mc personality. It makes sense that as itachi’s crow the focus is itachi’s life but I mean he has the overpowered cheat to learn any jutsu named in his vicinity/just has to see it once, and he’s basically not trained an hour or his life and is a lazy bum letting random kid’s treat him like some kind of pet.
Cute! Itachi is so young and innocent here, and Kitahara the crow is a funny companion. The slice-of-life bits with baby Sasuke are adorable (and chaotic lol). The action scenes are surprisingly good too
Decent fic. The crow MC is a fresh take. Good to see the Uchiha family dynamics before... well, you know. The Nine-Tails arc was intense with the crow's POV. Curious how much canon will actually change. Itachi and the crow's bond is well-written.
Binged all available chapters! This story is addictive. Kitahara the crow is a fantastic MC – smart, sarcastic, and surprisingly powerful. Loved the takedown of Obito in Kamui, and the recent showdown with Manda was intense! Itachi's character development alongside Kitahara is great. The author's blend of canon events with fresh twists is top-notch. Need more chapters NOW!
The MC is useless and and doesn’t contribute to the story at all. Story hasn’t been changed at all which is ridiculous and makes you wonder what the point was in making this garbage.
Okay, the crow being super OP is a bit of a stretch sometimes (that mini nuke in Ch 41 was wild ), BUT the story is undeniably fun. Kitahara's internal snark is great, and his "guidance" for Itachi is changing things in interesting ways. The whole "activation" of jutsu is a neat mechanic. I'm still hooked to see where this timeline goes. Just hope it doesn't get too ridiculous.
Li Qiye then . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . .
Give raw name if this is fic is a translation please 🥺............................................................................................................................... ................................................................
Why even make a fanfic if you are just going to follow cannon? Minato and Kushina could've been saved yet the mc didn't even do anything to help. Also how in the narutoverse would Obito survive a tailed beast bomb in the first place? Writing is bad lmao, go re write this hot garbage and actually make a mc with brains
My boy Itachi is going through it! From awakening his Sharingan at the Hokage ceremony to being taken on an S-rank mission by Jiraiya almost immediately after graduating (lol, 1 day of school!). Kitahara is the chaotic good influence he needs. The scenes where Kitahara tries to "protect" Itachi are both funny and kinda sweet. The plot with Danzo and Orochimaru is heating up!
can't wait for moooooor....................... .......................................................
