One of Honkai Impact 3rd Airs

Mobius said calmly, "I've already planned all of that. The rest of Honkai Impact 3rd's production and promotion will need a lot of funding. Extra budget could help expand our post-production and VFX teams. And we still need to license the music…"

She was listing out all the priorities once the investment came in—

But was cut off by the sound of lively footsteps outside.

Just hearing the steps, both of them looked up in unison.

"Elysia? She's back."

Sure enough—

A few seconds later, the door to the office swung open.

Elysia burst in, beaming. "Look what I brought you guys!"

Hugo looked over—and instantly felt a mix of amusement and exasperation.

Mobius's face darkened immediately.

"Elysia!! Did you sign new actresses on your own again?!"

Elysia giggled, "We met them while drinking—they're super cute!"

She stepped aside and pushed forward three girls.

"This is Cecilia, she's very gentle~"

"This is Rita. We didn't have a secretary, right? I think she's perfect!"

"And this one's Fu Hua. I don't know why, but the moment I saw her, I just knew we had to sign her."

The three politely greeted Hugo and Mobius. "Hello."

Mobius was fuming. They had just landed investment—funds hadn't even arrived—and Elysia was already burning through them.

Hugo quickly asked, "Elysia… are these three the only ones you signed?"

Elysia smiled sweetly. "Knew you'd get me, hubby! There are a few more—Tesla and Einstein, for example. They saw our PV and asked to join as technical staff."

"There are more?!"

Mobius stood frozen, mentally flashing through worst-case bankruptcy scenarios.

Hugo grinned. "That's my wife! Perfect timing too—Honkai Impact 3rd still needs more cast members. They can all be in it."

"You two are seriously—" Mobius began, ready to explode.

But Hugo cut in smoothly, "Oh, right. We just secured investment from the superstar Eden. Elysia, can I trouble you to handle the follow-up discussion with her about the funding amount?"

"Eden?!"

Elysia's eyes sparkled. "Thanks, hubby! Leave it to me. I'll make sure she joins the company!"

"Wait!" Mobius jumped in.

"Elysia, listen carefully. This is about investment, not recruitment. Don't mess it up."

Elysia gave a confident smile. "Relax~ Once we sign her to the company, we'll never have to worry about money again!"

Fu Hua looked over at Rita and Cecilia. "Are we sure this company is legit?"

Cecilia responded gently, "A company capable of producing a PV like that? I'm sure it's fine. And besides… I trust Elysia."

Rita nodded. "Me too."

With that, Fu Hua could only follow them to finalize their contracts with Mobius.

Once everything was signed, Hugo handed them each a script.

"These are your upcoming roles. Take some time to get familiar."

"Got it."

The next day.

Hugo woke up in bed—only to find Elysia was already gone.

He'd been hoping for a lazy morning snuggle after days of shooting, but she had vanished.

He searched the villa—no sign of her.

"She must've gone to work?"

It was only 10 a.m., so Hugo flopped back into bed to catch more sleep.

Meanwhile, at the company.

Fu Hua arrived nervously for her first day.

Truth be told, she felt totally lost.

She had no idea what she was supposed to do. She had no acting experience, and her life had always been quiet and rigid.

She thought of asking Rita—but found her already dressed in a maid outfit and seamlessly handling secretarial duties.

...Why was a secretary wearing a maid outfit?

Seeing Elysia grinning so happily, Fu Hua figured maybe it was the chairman's "aesthetic preference."

She turned to find Cecilia—but saw that she was already mingling perfectly with Himeko and the others, enthusiastically discussing the script.

Fu Hua felt even more isolated.

"Hey, you're Fu Hua, right? I'm Kiana!"

A cheerful voice called out from beside her.

Fu Hua turned, replying, "I'm Fu Hua. Just joined the company."

Kiana nodded thoughtfully. "Newbie, huh? Great—come watch Honkai Impact 3rd with me!"

"Wait—what?"

Before Fu Hua could react, Kiana grabbed her and pulled her into the lounge.

Bronya and the others were already seated—clearly also dragged in by Kiana.

On the lounge wall was a large screen, replaying the Honkai PV on loop.

"I've already seen the PV," Fu Hua said.

"Don't worry," Kiana said with a grin. "One more minute."

"One minute?"

Himeko entered the room just then and explained,

"It's almost time for the first episode of Honkai Impact 3rd to premiere. Come sit down and watch—it might help you feel more at ease."

Cecilia smiled. "The first episode? I'd love to see what it looks like."

"Let me evaluate it as well," came Eden's elegant voice as she entered—with Elysia at her side.
