CHAPTER 2 - The Man with No Mercy

Seo Hana's screams echoed through the dark warehouse, but no one came.

No one ever came.

The man who bought her?His name was Kang Dae-Sik.A man known in the underworld for two things: money and cruelty.

"You'll learn fast, girl," he sneered, circling her like a vulture. "Obey, or suffer."

Chains. Cages. Silence. That was Hana's world now.

She scrubbed his mansion floors on her knees, served at parties where she wasn't allowed to speak, breathe, or exist. She was a ghost in his empire. A pet. A possession.

And yet…Hana refused to break.

Even when Dae-Sik's men pushed her to the floor, spit on her, laughed at her dignity—she bit her tongue until it bled.

"I'll escape," she whispered into the cracks of the cold floor at night, bruised and starving."I swear I'll escape."

But days turned to weeks. Weeks blurred into months.

Until that night.

The night of the storm.

While the mansion roared with a party for the city's filthiest elite, Hana saw it—the back gate left unguarded, the driver too drunk to notice her trembling hands as she stole his keys.

Her heart pounded as she stumbled into the rain, barefoot, soaked, gasping.

"Hana… you're dead if they catch you…" she muttered between sobs.

But freedom tasted better than fear.

She ran until her lungs collapsed. She ran until her knees gave in.She ran into the blinding headlights of an oncoming limousine.

Brakes screamed. Tires skidded.

The last thing she saw was a man's silhouette stepping out, shouting something she couldn't hear over the pounding in her head.

Then, everything went black.
