When Mikel opened his new eye, the dead opened their doors.
Mikel was just an ordinary, troubled teen until an accident stole his sight.
When an experimental surgery gives him a strange new eye, he begins to see more than just the world of the living... and the dead.
Haunting visions, ghostly figures, cursed relics, and a mysterious blue interface named Doom — speaking in glowing symbols and shifting data — start to rewrite everything he thought he knew about reality.
And as the truth comes into focus, Mikel realized he might be a part of something bigger and far more dangerous than he could’ve imagined.
Standing between these worlds, survival isn’t guaranteed. Sanity, even less so.

Hello everyone! If you’re here, thank you for checking this out. I’m leaving this review after closing Act II of Volume I (Chapter 75). This story is a mix of supernatural, system, and curses. A protagonist who isn’t chosen, but rather, just someone who should’ve died but didn’t… or someone who simply refuses to. A system that is quite broken and always tests the protagonist's morality. Then, the cursed relics he gained and the ones he’s about to acquire were both a gift and a burden. The story (volumes) is structured per Act. Act I: Introduction of MC and the system, getting thrown into the bleeding world of the living and the dead. Act II: Dive into survival, renovation, ghost politics, a clearer power progression with the system, and the groundwork for a bigger world of shamans and the threats in the world. Act III: School arc, hierarchy, more threats, more problems, more actions, more system. What to expect: The MC doesn’t level up overnight. His growth across these 75 chapters is earned through blood, grit, and raw defiance—physically and emotionally. Mikel isn’t a villain — but he’s no saint either. He makes morally gray decisions, which might make you shake your head while thinking, “don’t do it,” or maybe nod at him with the thought, “go, burn that mf.” Still, I believe he’s someone you’d root for. There’s no harem. No romance. (At least not in the outlines for Volume I or II.) Maybe someday. Maybe not. Still, no harem, and that will never change. No plot armor, just pure grit. If there is, it’s very thin. Stakes and Worldbuilding are woven throughout (dialogues or simply experience), and everything has a payoff. Ghosts and spirits aren’t just enemies; some unionized and demand the MC for labor rights. MC doesn’t summon dragons, but he does summon Phantoms through his contracts. He owns cursed relics too, but they don’t always agree with him. Chapter releases: 2 chapters a day. (With arcs planned in advance) I might release more depending on my availability or if there’s a boost in morale. I encourage everyone to read the free chapters and see if you like it. :) Thank you for giving this cursed little tale a chance ^_^
My 2nd book and the author does not disappoint. Character development, world building, story cohesion, and storytelling are all on point for this novel. While this is a somewhat common trope, the author is able to have their own unique spin to it that makes the story feel fresh and keeps the reader wanting more. I rarely go out of my way to write reviews, but I hope the author continues this novel! Highly recommend!
truly and absolutely peak fiction! Just kidding...haven't read a single chapter.
