The sun was high In the in the noon. Two figures walked though the forest with steady anf fast steps.
A small girl with pink hair led the way while a bigger human walked behind her, following her. Even though the creature looked like a human, it wasn't; the pale skin and blood-red eyes were the perfect evidence to prove it.
Gregory walked behind Sarah with a frown on his face. After their conversation, the summoner hasn't spoken a word. She was walking fast through the forest while he was following her.
She said that they are going to find his father, but her father is already dead. What are we searching for, actually?'
Then he frowned and froze.
'Maybe the harrowing experience of watching her father getting eaten alive has made her crazy.'
He didn't, though it was true, but the realisation of being a slave to a crazy maniac hit him harder. Then he looked at the changing star and asked with an even tone.
"Hey, where are we going?"
She didn't even turn around, instead, she replied to him while still walking in the direction.
"We are going to the cave where the wolf you killed lived before."
Sunny lingered for a few moments and asked.
"For what?"
Like before, without even turning around, she walked toward the front.
"To retrieve my father's remains."
His eyes shone with shock, and after some time, it was replaced with a pleasant smile appeared on his mouth.
'Oh, so that's what it was. She hasn't gone crazy.'
Then he hurried his steps and walked forward, stopping beside her. While walking, he asked the important questions he wanted to know and couldn't ask because of the distraction.
"In this world, what are the ranks of the class, people can obtain?"
She looked at him with a deadpan expression and said in an even tone.
"Is that something necessary right now? Sorry, but I want to save my father's remains before they get eaten and bury them."
After seeing her unwillingness to answer, Gregory frowned and asked again.
"You know, I am new to this world and if you really want me to help you I want to know certain things about this world. Otherwise both of us might end up dead , you know."
After hearing, she turned and glared at him for a couple of minutes. Then she shrugged and said while still walking forward.
"The magic in this world can be used by consuming internal Mana. Your role produces Mana after 24 hours of the day until you die. People usually awaken around the ages of 10-16, and they get a class. People also receive skills with it which can't obtained from anywhere else. All of them are active."
She said with a deadpan expression while still walking forward. Gregory lingered for a few moments and said in a crooked tone.
"So what are the ranks, the class get divided into?"
After hearing that, she said without even looking at him.
"Class ranks are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Unique, Special, Legendary, Mythical, Divine. Common is the lowest, and divine is the highest."
As soon as he heard that, his eyes widened. He said to him without thinking.
" So, your skill 'Fealty of the summoned' is the highest grade there is."
Suddenly, she stopped her march and looked at him with a mildly terrified, curious tone.
"How do you know that?"
He looked straight into her eyes and shrugged.
"Ohh, you know I too have a couple of divine skills. I used one of them to peak inside your status."
What he said made her shiver. After looking into his eyes for a few seconds, she asked again while sweat rolled down her face.
"What is your rank and level?"
Gregory replied without even thinking, a smug look on his face.
"Ohh, Not Much. My rank is divine, and my level is God."
As soon as he said that, she froze. Her mouth was wide open, and bewilderment was written on her face. Beads of sweat streamed down her face as she continued staring at me. After a couple of seconds, she frowned and asked in a shaky voice.
"You are lying to me, right?"
Gregory Shrugged.
"Why would I lie to you? I am a divine god. If you don't command me to tell my rank and level truthfully."
After hearing that, she lingered for a few moments and said in an even tone.
"Tell me your rank and Level, truthfully."
As soon as she said that, it was like someone else controlled his body. Even though the movements of his mouth were forced, he felt like he was doing that.
"My rank is Divine, and my level is God."
As soon as he said that, the girl froze again for a moment, deeming that what he said was the truth. Then she thought for a bit and said in a heavy tone.
"If you are that powerful, you can do anything. Taking the father's body back will be a piece of cake.
Then a subtle smile appeared on her face, and she said.
"Come on, let's go, the faster we go, the better."
After sensing the disappearing control of his body, his expression darkened, and he followed her.
'I have to somehow disable that ability. Whether that will kill her or not will be decided by the way she uses her skill.'
After thinking that he foprced a carefree smile on his face and asked her a question. The dark, malice expression was still present in her face.
"Is the divine rank skill truly a powerful skill?"
She glanced at him for a few seconds and focused on the road again. Then she said in a carefree tone.
"They are not invisible, no matter the rank, most of the skill only serves one purpose; they could be countered in many ways. Even my divine skill was countered by a Sage who had a divine skill. It's just that their effects are very powerful."
After saying that, she continued her march with a neutral expression. While her heart was calm, his heart was growing more excited by the second.
'A skill that could counter 'fealty of the summoned'…...I have to meet that skill and copy it with my skill.
A mad smile appeared on his face.
'All of its blood skill is the most powerful skill I have.'
