Black smoke like aura covered his right hand. The hair on the leopards body stood on end. It jumped backwards and looked at him warily.
He felt drained, he checked his system interface. The skill only took a little of his mana and stamina yet be felt drained. He did not know what was fueling the skill.
He cancelled it. It was a dangerous skill, since he did not know anything about it he decided to not use it unless necessary. However the fact that the beast looked scared of it assured him it was strong.
He pulled out the sword on his hip and pointed it at the leopard beast. He did not know any swordsmanship but he just needed to hit his opponent, how hard can that be.
It was hard, it was very hard. For the last 6 Min he had been running around dodging and blocking the leopards claw swipes. His left arm was completed shattered now.
His bones had turned into powder but he could feel them healing, it was slow though, extremely slow. He was covered in scratches,if it was not for his barriers and healing magic he would've died.
Another reason he had survived for this long was because the beast was wounded. It chest heaved with fatigue. He could see it bones through it chest, it was skinny.
He estimated this thing had less than 30 percent of it strength yet he was still struggling with it. It made sense though, he was level 1 and it was level 37.
Had his healing magic skill and barrier magic skill affinities not been transcended he would've died by now. Those two being transcended means any barrier skill or healing spell with be much more effective than it would normally be.
Even under this much pressure his mind still functioned fine. He strangely did not feel fear even when being chased by a creature much more powerful than he was.
The leopard was bleeding, it had more stamina than he does, atleast it total stamina however his heavenly eyes could not show him how much stamina or mana was left but he expected it was much lower than it total.
He could tell it was getting slower. The blood loss and hunger was getting to it. He can outlast it, it was much faster than him, so much faster that he could only see a shadow when it moved.
Had he not been using the trees as cover it would've gotten him multiple times by now. He stood behind a tree leaning on it. His breath was getting heavy.
It had only been a few minutes but he was using all of his ability to stay alive, he had been constantly healing himself and occasionally casting barriers to block attacks.
He could nolonger use the shield barrier as he decided to call it. It was the only barrier not fixed in place but it needed him to carry it like a shield.
With his left arm broken and right arm carrying the sword he could had no means to carry a shield around. As he was thinking while looking around for the creature he suddenly noticed something he did not before.
The smell of blood was everywhere now. The leopard had been bleeding all over the place, he could no longer track it using the scent of blood.
He looked around rapidly but did not see it, he raised his head and looked up and there it was, up in the tree facing down at him. It launched at him, he rolled forward and it landed where he was.
Without looking back he casted a barrier, he was running low on mana, he chose to stop the healing. He felt a collision behind him. The leopard had collided with the barrier with a booming sound.
A shockwave hit the area. It ran around the barrier but by then he was already darting between the trees, using them as cover. Their game if cat and mouse had lasted for nearly an hour now.
He was out of mana, his stamina was running low, his eyes were heavy and he wanted to sleep. He could still feel the strain placed on him by using the death hand.
He breathed heavily trying to regenerate his stamina and mana. His stamina was regenerating slowly but it was much better than his mana.
In the past 25 Min he had only regenerated 1 mana point, it was pitiful. I'm not going to die here, I'm not going die until I return to them and I'm definitely not dying to a wounded beast.
He held his sword tightly, it steps had become less quiet so he could faintly hear them plus it was breathing heavily making it easier to track it movements now.
He could tell it was close by, as it came from the right side of the tree he went around on the opposite side. He was tired of running, he was going to hunt it as well now.
As it came from behind he turned around and swung his sword, there was no skill in that swing, just pure strength and speed. It was not measured, it sole purpose was to hit, it did not matter where as long as he made it bleed even more.
However when the blade landed it bounced back without leaving a mark on it skin. It roared with fury, it had felt it, he may have failed to make it bleed but he did inflict pain and that was what he needed.
It swung it claw at him, he fell backwards and rolled, it missed and hit the tree, drawing three gashes on it. He stood and ran towards it, he did not know why, he did not understand it but it felt right.
Feeling provoked the beast lunged at him with it mouth open, it fangs gleamed and they approached his throat. He swung his sword.
The wind screamed as he sliced it apart, the sword his the creatures fangs and shattered but that had stopped it. It was bleeding, he made it bleed.
The creature looked furious now, it growled with pain and hunger, it red eyes glaring at him, the wound on it side had stopped bleeding.
It opened it maw, it blood covered fangs gleamed like metal, it claws brandished like the sword of a knight, ready to slay the annoying prey infront it.
The beast lunged, it went straight for his neck with it maw while swinging it claw at him, he instinctively used heavenly eyes with his last mana.
He did not know why he did not think of this before but an eye technique graded mythical must do more than just show status of others.
Things slowed down, he was not faster than before no, but not he could see clearly, it was moving slowly towards him mid air. He could clearly see the shining fangs, even then tiny white hairs stuck between those fangs.
He knew he was not faster than it was, it was going to get him so he took a step back. He mistakenly stepped on a tiny rock and slipped. Huh?
He did know what just happened, how can he just lose his balance like that, with his stats even without proper training he had better control of his body than most gymnastics from his previous world.
His hand rose with his falling body, the remaining half of the shattered sword stabbed the creature on the wound on it side, since it was moving so fast the sword went deeper and made a gash.
He head it wail and let go of the sword, the creature flew past him above his body and fell down behind him, that pushed his sword even further than in.
What just happened? He wondered
