Are you really a healer?

The guild was bustling, adventurers came and went. Lisa was busy as always, it was evening and her shift was about to end. The adventurers in the guild were drinking and laughing boasting about the kills and best missions.

Some were boasting about the women they have been with while others bragged about the wives and kids, it was jovial atmosphere. The door was then kicked open.

The room went quiet, everybody turned their heads towards the door. In came a man clad completely in black, on his hip was a broken sword while on his shoulders was leopard.

Af first nobody paid any kind to the leopard, after all leopards were common animals until one asked, "isn't that a stalker?" Everybody paid attention to it now.

That impossible right, they whispered, there's no way that possible. She could hear all of their whispers. The men was covered in blood and scratches.

His left arm hanged limply to the side, it did not even look like it had bones in it anymore yet the mans face was flat without a sign of pain.

No whimpering or even a frown. She knew who this dead eyes man was and like the adventures said. It was impossible for him to kill a stalker leopard, even if it was still a juvenile.

He had his class change yesterday, she was sure if it, she was afterall the one to overseer the ritual. Just yesterday he was a level 1, how can he kill a stalker leopard around level 40 she did not know.

She suspected he found it corpse, it was easier to believe than him killing it but the claw marks on his body and the blood covering him said differently.

Another thing that caused her doubt was the fact that he was a healer, it made no sense for a healer to kill something like this by themselves.

Stalker leopards did not specialise in strength or defence, infact they could be considered weak on those aspects compared to other beasts of their rank.

However what they lacked in strength and defence they made up in speed and their sharp claws. They were fast, extremely so, without high enough int to increase your perception you cannot even see them move.

This one was fortunately a juvenile and still in the early E rank but it was still much stronger than a level 1 G rank human who is a healer. The more she thought about it the more bizarre this situation was.

She watched as he approached her. Can I sell this?he asked. Huh? Ohhh yes yes you can, she replied still lost in her thoughts. He put the leopard down with a bang.

It was heavy even though it looked small, it had a very dense mess. How can healer? Wait is he even really a healer, I didn't check that, maybe he was lying, she thought.

Ah, if it not much trouble there is one test we forgot yesterday. What test? In your form you said you said you are a healer, unfortunately we have to test if you telling the truth, otherwise people would lie about their class putting their allies in danger.

He nodded, then please follow me. She led him towards the back. A small knife appeared on her hand, she cut her arm, please if don't mind.

He placed his hand above her wound, light appeared on his hand and her wound healed. She could tell the spell was healing hand but it was much more potent than the ones she's used to.

Thank you she said with a smile. By the fallen gods he truly is a healer, how can a healer achieve something like that, it makes no sense.

She was still showing him her smile but deep down she was shaken. They went back to the reception. If I may ask, you don't have to answer if you don't want to.

He nodded, did you kill this thing or found it already dead? All eyes turned towards them. Found, he replied and said nothing else. Then how did you get those wounds? Rabbit, he said.

Rabbit? Rabbit? If you going to lie then atleast make it believable, how are those rabbit wounds, even horned rabbit do not make wounds like that.

That obviously claws, cat claws, she thought with frustration. Do you have the rabbit bodies? No, too strong. Too str7ong? Too strong he says, you just brought in a corpse of a stalker leopard and you saying rabbits were too strong? She thought.

He placed 50 white essence lilies on the counter. This is? My mission. Ohhh I had completely forgotten about that, she thought. I guess you completed your first mission, congratulations, she said with a smile.

He opened his hand. She looked at it with confusion. Reward, he said. Oh oh sorry, she was really shaken today, she placed 5 copper coins on his hand and thanked him again.

He didn't take his hand away, she looked at him. He pointed at the corpse with his head. Oh sorry, I don't know what wrong with me today. She placed two gold coins on his hand and watched him leave.

The entire time nobody in the guild had said a word or looked away, meaning they saw all of her embarrassing behaviour. She could see it in their eyes, they were as confused and shaken as he was.

She watched him go out then she rushed upstairs. She entered the vice guild masters office without knocking. You've really got to stop doing that, I could be busy in here.

Doing what? Private stuff. What private stuff? All you do is sit around in that fancy chair. You are a really rude brat you know that?

You do know you not much older than me right? Anyways, it about that boy. I know Lisa, he sounds like he is going to be a troublesome fella, she said with a smile, this will be fun, I've been bored for a while now.

Ohhh no this isn't good, she thought.
