Chapter 11: Warmth Amidst Shadows

Recap:

After an intense confrontation at the Uchiha compound, Gojo was suppressed by Fugaku's terrifying murderous intent.

Despite being only three years old, he resisted it by upgrading his Uchiha and Uzumaki bloodlines, awakening a one-tomoe Sharingan, shocking everyone present.

This led to a clash between ANBU and Fugaku. The Third Hokage and Gojo's grandfather arrived just in time. Fugaku was publicly scolded, and Mikoto was accused of negligence.

The village's opinion of the Uchiha Clan worsened. Gojo lost consciousness from the strain, and the chapter ended with him being taken to the hospital.

The atmosphere in the Hokage Tower was tense. After many hours of debate and confrontation, under mounting pressure from the Hokage, elders, and mounting public backlash, Uchiha Fugaku finally bowed his head.

"I sincerely apologize to Senju-sama and his grandson, Senju Gojo. My actions were uncalled for, and I take full responsibility."

He placed a scroll on the table — a compensation fund for Gojo's treatment and damages, stamped with the Uchiha clan crest.

The room was silent. It was a moment that would echo across Konoha.

Once again, the Uchiha name was dragged through the mud.

News of the incident spread fast. Civilians who had seen little Gojo laughing, playing, and greeting them warmly, now fumed that someone like him was hospitalized.

"Such a sweet kid… and the Uchiha did this to him?"

"He's just three! Monsters!"

Many, out of goodwill, visited the hospital. Some dropped off toys, snacks, and even flowers.

At Konoha Hospital...

A soft groan echoed in the private room as Gojo's eyelids fluttered.

His body ached, his head throbbed, but the moment he opened his eyes, he was met with warmth.

"Naruto, he's awake!" Ino shouted.

"Gojo!" Naruto rushed over, grinning wide. "You scared us, dattebayo!"

Hinata stood shyly by the door, clutching her fingers, "W-We were all worried…"

Kiba, with Akamaru on his head, barked, "Next time, call us if you plan to go fight the clan head!"

Choji was munching on chips but smiled, "We even brought you snacks."

Shikamaru yawned, "What a drag… you made things troublesome again."

Gojo chuckled softly.

Looking at these familiar faces, his chest tightened — not from pain, but emotion.

In his previous life, after his mother's death, he had no one. No relatives. No friends. Just silence and pain.

Now, these people surrounded him. They cared.

Tears welled up, but he blinked them away.

"Thank you, everyone," he whispered, a genuine smile spreading on his lips.

They spent the next hour talking, laughing, and catching up. Naruto promised to bring ramen. Hinata helped fix his pillow. Ino brushed his hair. Even Shikamaru stayed a little longer.

When visiting hours ended, they reluctantly left.

Soon after, Gojo's grandfather entered.

The room fell silent.

Gojo lowered his head.

"I'm sorry… I shouldn't have insisted on going to the Uchiha compound."

The old man sighed deeply, walking to the bed.

"You're just like your mother," he said, ruffling Gojo's hair. "Stubborn and brave."

Gojo's eyes widened.

They sat in silence for a moment.

"I was worried, Gojo. But… you stood tall. I'm proud of you."

They spoke for a long time — about clans, chakra, the world, and Gojo's future.

Finally, his grandfather stood.

"Rest, child. Tomorrow is a new day."

Gojo nodded.

The moment the door closed, exhaustion took over. He collapsed onto his bed.

---

Outside the hospital, on a nearby rooftop, a shadowy figure stood silently.

Watching.

The figure exhaled in relief.

"So… you're alright, little flame."

A soft smile tugged at the shadow's lips.

The moonlight washed over them.

Then —

In a single breath, the figure vanished into the night.
